dishonest, unprofessional, and shady. me and several other consumers reached out to this record store in regards to an upcoming limited shipment of ariana grande's eternal sunshine that were autographed.

ariana's official social media accounts listed dearborn music as one of the locations they would be sent. however, every one of us that reached out was lied to in different ways.

here's some examples: i was told they just had zero information, even though official accounts posted them listed as a recipient. one person was told they were getting them, but no one could line up in the morning and the line would not be honored. — (there was a line the next morning which they honored and sold the stock to.) they told several people that they would not be sold in the morning in general, stating that they hadn't received them yet. some people were told that they had zero information, but once they were told about the official posts, they'd finally admit they were aware but had "no idea when they'd arrive.

overall, they are extremely unprofessional and do not know how to handle exclusive shipments and releases and should not be included in further artist promotional events such as this one, which was handled very poorly and was...

Great place I truly do love it and although I do love and enjoy my time there throughout the years one thing has been consistent other than them selling music and that would be that nearly every employee is rude and ir has a personality equalivent to a corpse legit stare ymto you whole time you're in there I get it in sure theres ple ty of theiving going on but try to be more discreet on your viewing I stead of making your patrons want to just up and leave which I never do cause that would make one look even more suspicious. I wish they were more polite in there I truly do I'll continue to go there when need be but wow is it uncomfortable and then while purchasing it's almost as if you're being judged by your selection which isnt too bad cause they actually show human features during that brief time although...

I’ve been going to Dearborn Music since I was a teenager in the 1970s. Spent lots of my salary here with the original owners, through records, 8 tracks, cassettes, CDs, and into the newer store. Today, 4/21/25, After spending $80+ on some CDs, the bag broke on the way out. The numerous CDs were heavy, I’m handicapped using a cane. Went back, asked for a new bag. Metal Head, 1980s style, points to a sig, saying no new bags, hold the bottom, the handles are bad. I’m handicapped, Walking with a cane, can’t hold bottoms, etc. I tearfully tell Metal Head my situation. Finally agrees to new bag.
