Let me start by saying: I genuinely feel bad for anyone who thinks this is great food. Don’t get me wrong—the staff is super friendly and the service is solid. But let’s be honest, we’re in a city full of incredible food spots. And when I’m paying premium prices for such a fast-casual restaurant, I expect something that at least comes close to matching that price tag.
Unfortunately, this just doesn’t deliver. Everything is drowned in sauce—mostly mayo—and way too salty. It’s less “flavorful” and more “salt-and-mayo explosion.” I could recreate this level of chaos in my own kitchen with a squeeze bottle and a salt shaker.
The fries are fine—some interesting seasoning options—but fries alone won’t keep me coming back. The burger, though? A total letdown. If I’m craving a good Smashburger, I’ll happily take my appetite to Fratelli’s instead. And if we’re talking beef burgers, both Tuhamas and Good Burger easily blow this place out of the water.
As for the subs—again, Tuhamas wins by a mile. The wings? Meh. I’d rather go to Wing Snob, where I can get something way better for the same price or less.
I honestly think people are just being polite in their reviews. I’ve heard from more than a few others that it’s way too saucy, so I know I’m not alone here. Good luck if you try it, but I’m not drinking...
Read moreThe owner was very friendly as well as staff which is huge for me, I ordered the Spanish lemon pepper wings which were super tiny wing dings and I like small wings but these were too tiny and over cooked and I didn’t taste any lemon pepper flavor and you got fries with it, I wouldn’t order the wings again and would suggest using h a lemon pepper that has a strong lemon pepper flavor and instead of 12 wings at that price it needs to be 18 because those wings are so tiny, The Garlic Parmesan fries were very tasty and you get a lot it’s enough for at lest 2 people but my issue is they weren’t hot hot but more like warm when they were brought to me and you barely got any corn, don’t be stingy with the corn, the banana pudding was good but no bananas in it probably because they would turn brown so I get it but for. Commercial banana pudding it was nice and creamy but I do feel like it was overpriced for the size you get it s/b $5 not $10 . I’m going to go back and try the burger they looked good. We waited bout 20 minutes which wasn’t bad at all since they told us 40 minutes. Overall it’s a little pricey in my opinion but It’s definitely worth a trip and...
Read moreSo I learned about this place from a chance encounter with a fellow passenger on a flight back to Detroit from New York. She told me about a magical food spot in Dearborn that’s open until 3am…music to the ears of this 2nd Shifter.
This place is hitting on all cylinders. Foot traffic was constant, and I see why. Met the owner, who could not have been more hospitable as he guided me through the menu. The staff was lively and attentive, spotting my empty cup from across the store in the kitchen, and beckoning me over for a free refill. And the food?! Maaaaaaaan, what?! I ordered a Crispy Cancun and Shrimp Boy for my folks, and a Nashville Chicken for myself (per the owner’s recommendation). I am convinced they want my whole paycheck, because all three entrees got five-star reviews…and my folks are no easy-to-please crowd!
God truly works in mysterious ways, and I am grateful that a chance encounter led me here, because now I know the way to some good late-night eats, and I will certainly be returning for more…and likely bring...
