As a parent, I'm always looking for new and exciting ways to engage my child's creativity. Recently, my child received a gift card from a family friend, so she had the chance to use it at Speckles and Splatter, an art and pottery studio.
As a family we went to do some pottery painting, and it was an absolute blast! The studio's vibrant and colorful atmosphere immediately put us at ease.
My daughter, eagerly explored the various paints and brushes, experimenting with different techniques to create her own unique masterpiece. As a parent, it was heartwarming to see her confidence soar as she discovered her artistic talents.
The studio's generous use of high-quality materials and tools allowed us to unleash our creativity without limitations. We had access to a wide range of glazes, paints, and brushes, enabling us to bring our artistic visions to life.
The icing on the cake was the studio's kiln firing service. We simply left our painted pottery pieces with the staff, and they took care of the rest, ensuring a professional and flawless finish. The final products were simply stunning, and my daughter couldn't wait to display her creativity in our home.
Overall, our experience at Speckles and Splatter was nothing short of exceptional. The studio's welcoming atmosphere, knowledgeable employees, and high-quality materials made it the perfect place for my daughter to explore her creativity and develop a lifelong love of art.
I highly recommend Speckles and Splatter to anyone looking for a fun and creative way to spend time with their children. It's a place where imaginations run wild and creativity...

💲Cost: I made mugs (Dec 21) through saving a table on the website. Prices for items to paint ranged from $25 to $55+. For mugs, around $25 & large figures fell between 30.00 & 55.00+
Studio fee: $6 per person Time to dry/pickup: 1-2 weeks. I recommend asking at the counter what the total would be to paint.
🍯 Ceramic painting has large tables to fit 5-6 people max. I find the tables close to the product select wall.
👩🎨 Staff service could have paints prepared better, as some paints weren’t available in a side cart for that day. Occassionally, it felt inattentive. Also, the reserving a table option online seemed to not matter, as people could sit anytime. Yet, they tried to help.. when asked. 😅
🛍 Item pickup: The shop was supposed to send a notification. However, that never happened for my order and I ended up reaching out to them. The timeframe was accurate, and I got to retreive it in 2-3 weeks.
Overall - I feel this place has nice decorating options. It’s very fun, especially with people! There’s just some areas with in-store service and pickup that need to be improved.
Regardless: I love my mug and found a new love for painting pottery. 🍭

Read moreJust left this place it has the worst customer service. I finally received a refund after a month of unorganized miscommunication scheduling of a wheel pottery class. The employee maddy rudely put my refund on the counter and not in my hand this was the most horrible experience I’ve had and I think it was because I’m black . The first time I scheduled the class for my girlfriend birthday they cancelled the class when I reschedule the employee supposedly reserved two spots but her coworker remove the reservation leaving me without a class again she didn’t even bother to call and notify me lucky I called the day before my class to confirm and that’s when she told me so I rescheduled once again and was suppose to receive a email confirming time and date never received email i was told class was 12:30 and the class was 12 I was headed to location and received a call saying the class had started already you will have...
