Geno's Pub — Restaurant in Decatur

It was obvious as I walked in and everybody, and I mean everybody, stared at me with no greeting at all. I felt compelled to wave and announce, "Yes, I am stranger!" If you pay with a credit card make sure you plan on NOT putting the tip on the credit card slip as I was informed they don't allow that, as well as a $5 minimum. So, i had to buy 2 beers and waste one. I was just waiting for my ride that was later than expected.

I mean it wasn't totally awful but, I felt very aware that I didn't belong there. FYI, I'm a traveling bartender for 16 years.... I am extremely comfortable in any bar setting. It is very rare that I feel totally singled...

I was visiting with a friend in Decatur for her 21st birthday. I got there from northern Indiana around 7:30 and we stopped her for a morning brew since they were the only place open. We were pleasantly surprised by the welcoming atmosphere. Great bartender and the local regulars were awesome. Whether you want to play pool, listen to music, or just sit with friends and chat, this is definitely the place to go. Small bar with friendly faces. 5 out of 5 stars for the friendliness and positivity...

Grace- I felt just like I was in an episode of cheers 😂 KiND & WELCOMEING, SERViCE WAS DECENT, GOOD PRiCES ON DRiNK'S, GREAT VARIETY of MUSiC & Unexpected MiXtURE of PE0PLE in the crowd! This place far exceeds its past reputation! Now I know why Dave loved this place so much! -Cheers!
