This location has really gone downhill over the years. My family and I have frequented this location many times and they used to be really good, however, on my most recent visit on 9/30/23, I was quite disappointed and disgusted. First off, the ceiling in the wait area has a water leak with no yellow caution sign in place. Water on the floor in the waiting area is a huge no no!!! There are several other water spots in the ceiling throughout the restaurant as well. The place wasn't very busy when we arrived, so we were seated at our table within 15 minutes or so (not too bad). There were only 2 waitresses on staff so it took a few minutes before someone came over to our table. I will say that our waitress was nice and attentive to us, but they were clearly running very slow. The most disturbing thing I witnessed during my visit was 2 staff persons touching food in the food assembly area, with their bare hand (no gloves) as they were preparing take-out orders. One of them appeared to be a manager (based on attire) with an apron on and the other was a waitress. I saw them touch people's food with their bare ungloved hands and this was so disgusting. Prior to observing this, I saw the manager guy pushing a dish cart just before he started preparing takeout orders. The other lady was observed wiping her nose and still preparing takeout orders!!! How disgusting is this??? Our waitress was in charge of our food the entire time and I was able to observe her from where I was sitting and there were no issues with anyone touching our food. The food was quite average for the price, but the quality has definitely gone down. To top it all off, when we arrived home about 30-45 minutes after leaving the restaurant, my mother and father became nauseated, and both had a sudden bout of diarrhea (sorry to be graphic but I had to describe what happened). This was no coincidence as they both became sick after eating the food from IHOP. Thankfully, my sister, niece, nephew and I were ok. Needless to say, I will NEVER return to this IHOP. They clearly care nothing about their patron's health and safety nor do they care about following health codes. Last but not least, I observed the cleaning person wearing gloves however the 2 individuals who were touching people's food were not!!! Explain that to a health inspector!!!! Again, I will NEVER return here, and I do not recommend this place to anyone who cares about...
Read moreFound Hair in our pancakes twice and did not get the proper apology and server tried to blame us for it indirectly by stating no one in the kitchen has long hair. Plus got charged for the pancakes as well. for details see below
On our last day of our vacation in Florida we decided we wanted iHop for breakfast. We decided to skip breakfast at the Marriott and decided to go to this place instead since this was on our way to the Airport.
We did not mind the wait time since they were busy but eventually our food arrived without the pancakes. Once we got our pancakes my wife noticed the pancakes to be cool. We decided to eat it anyways since the rest of the food was decent although my omelet did not have cheese. While pouring syrup on the pancakes, I noticed a hair on the top cooked into the pancake.
We spoke to a nearby server (not ours) to take it back and get us freshly made pancakes hopefully without a hair this time. Our second set of pancakes arrived, we were happy this time it was freshly cooked and we had come here because of the pancakes. As I was lifting the pancake on the top to put in my plate and another into my wife's plate there was a hair stuck between the two which wasn't very long but easily noticeable. We were very upset because it happened twice. My wife decided she wasn't gonna have any pancakes due cooks/workers possibly being unhygienic. We decided not to make a big fuss about it, finished our meal on our plates and asked for the check.
While looking at the check we were charged for the pancakes that had hair in it twice and had it returned. I spoke to the server and told her to take it off the check because I wouldn't pay for something we did not eat. She stated she can't take it off and told us that no one in the kitchen noticed the hair and no one had long hair in the kitchen indirectly assuming we did this ourselves. I was furious but did not make a scene due to other customers eating and decided to speak with the manager. He also first stated he cannot take it off but eventually took the charge off. Our last day of our vacation was pretty much ruined.
Instead of denying something that happened one should apologize like crazy second not charge me for it and then lastly customer should not have to prove themselves in a...
Read moreGoing backwards 😞 Sad to say I must take away a star from a previous rating. Completely out of sync. The normal lady that's at the register was not there. 1st time I've ever seen this lady and from the jump out was chaos. Went for mommy and me breakfast. There were people waiting to be seated and propel waiting on togo orders. No one greets us and with lots of people in the wait area we just grabbed a menu. Within a minute or two a lady says, please cancel this order they no longer want it. Register lady (RL for future reference) looks lost and says what order. She shows her and looks at the food area (meanwhile, the lady is reminding her the customer canceled because it was over 35 minutes). One of the cooks, says that order has been up. Points to two containers, RL says customer been waiting he stats I'm sure because we finished that 20mins ago. Customer has since left RL and cook go back and forth. He's complaining about her she's complaining about the tickets not being in place. RL turns to look for lady... ma'am, she's gone. Ughh, mind you another customer had also been waiting on an online order plus people waiting to be seated... we left. Too unorganized. I've never seen such delays and disconnect with staff before. I really hope they got...
