My wife, two children and I ate at this restaurant this past Saturday. My wife had a chicken quesadilla and children shared a order of soft tacos. I had the steak chimichanga. From the moment I taste the steak chimichanga the steak tastes extremely different, almost like a the meat went bad. I had my wife taste a small piece and she said it's just probably the seasoning that they use. Directly after leaving the restaurant my stomach felt upset. At around 1 a.m. in the morning I felt myself with excruciating stomach pain and having to be in the bathroom until 6 a.m in the morning. I for sure thought I had food poisoning and might need to go to the hospital. The next day as soon as the establishment opend I called talk to one of the owners, he was apologetic and he said he would reimburse my family for their meals. My kids brought their food home and we threw it in the garbage because we didn't want them to get what I started to have. He said that he would reimburse us for our meal but to call back at 4pm to speak with the other partner manager. Upset that I had to call back for them to make it right I did at 4 o'clock and the other partner manager said he spoke with his partner and they're not going to reimburse us for our meal but just for my taco. He said the other owner never implied that in our earlier call. I've never wrote a review for any restaurant nor had the time to waste doing so. But I feel it is very unprofessional to go back on your word and not take care of your clients and patrons when they possibly got food poisoning at your restaurant due to your negligence of cooking. They are not and have not reimburse me for my meal and now I'm disputing it with my credit card company. We are talking about a measly $48 which I do not care about but it's strictly principle that I have been sick all through the night and throughout the next day. I apologize for this long review but I hope this reaches other families like mine and do not go through this type of experience when there's so much other restaurants to pick...

Told that the party in our table has paid and they're just waiting for them to leave. 7:20 rolls around and we check again. Told they're still waiting for the party to leave. At 7:30, TWICE the time we were told the wait would be, I am highly irritated. Ask the hostess manager (I think she was the hostess manager) at what point they ask the other party to leave? She replies that they don't do that. Fine. She tells me that's the only table they have for a party of 9. I tell her it's been an hour and she replies that "she has other parties that have been waiting just as long" which was false. Ask her what can she do to fix the situation? She says either just wait or we are free to leave. After that, we left (with the other party still just sitting there) and enjoyed ourselves at a better place...bad taste in our mouth after the experience with the hostess manager.
If you can't politely ask parties who linger too long to politely leave, then time to think outside the box! How about pushing a couple of tables together as they become available to accommodate us?! How about keeping us informed instead of us having to continually ask for an update? How about a simple apology?? Never ONCE did the words "sorry" or "I apologize" for the long wait come out of her mouth! Way to take care of your guests who came to your establishment to spend money and enjoy an evening. Will not go back.
P.S. Food is ok....much better "mexican" places nearby. Not just saying that because of the bad experience with...

Ordered fajitas and before my cerveza, water, or chips and salsa arrived, sizzling fajitas came to the table. We actually believe we got an order that was a mistake or something! Waitress says “…wow, that’s fast. Ok, enjoy”. We were like - can we have plates? Can we have hot salsa? Waitress says yes, for an addt’l charge. We’re like uh, ok. Next, we ask for more sour cream, which was met with “…sure, for an up charge.”We open the lid to the tortillas and they’re not warmed. We flag the waitress again. At this point we asked for a Mgr. - Nely Alicea arrives at our table with a metal rod he’s apparently just used to lower or raise the outside awnings. We ask him what’s up with all the up charges? He’s like IDK. We said oh, and there’s only 3 tortillas here; can we get another? His response … “No, that’s all that comes with fajitas. If you want more, there’s an up charge.” My husband says whatever, man, go get them please. Nely Alicea says “No, not unless you agree to pay the up charge”. Meanwhile my husband had just said okay. Nely Alicea just stands there staring my 73 year old husband down as if he wanted to start an altercation. It was cause for concern, especially with him wielding the metal pole. We put our utensils down, asked for a check and immediately left. We were shocked. You can scratch this one off your list. It’s definitely changed. I mean we know the economy could be better but to up-charge on Mexican tortillas, sour cream or salsa, is ridiculous!
Watch out for Nely Alicea, too, and...
