I walked into the Wawa store located on Hillsboro Blvd next to I95. All the employees started shouting at me. I was startled and extremely annoyed. Especially I couldn’t understand what they were shouting about. The manager ( didn’t get his name but African American middled age man) started explaining that he couldnt give me service. Mind you he failed to tell me why exactly. I finally got him to tell me because I didn’t have a mask on. Mind you during the shouting match I realized I didn’t have my mask on (was in hurry forgot it in the car) that’s when I continue to ask why you can’t service me. Finally he said because I don’t have a mask ( I already knew that at that point). I went to go get my mask and came back. Even though the entire staff was rude, I addressed the manager to address people correctly regarding the proper protocol regarding mask. Just because there’s a global pandemic doesn’t mean you stop giving proper quality customer service. I understand it can be frustrating but speak to customers with respect and address the issue correctly instead of shouting at people and having the pleasure of kicking people out of the store. By the way I wasn’t going to write this bad review until the manager concluded our discussion with “ there’s a sign on the door “ ! Um maybe I didn’t read it. Read moreGot up early 6:00 am to grab a cup a coffee on my way into work and there were at minimum 6-7 employees standing around. NO COFFEE, NO CREAMER, NO SUGAR, trash on counters, spilled liquid on counters and floors, garbage over flowing. I asked an employee for creamer and the First Lady was too busy organizing the Togo cart it and when I asked her she . I’m white, she’s black and wouldn’t even look or acknowledge me at all. This particular woman of “color” has been very rude to me, my husband and friends when we go in. We have NEVER been rude or disrespectful to anyone therel. I asked another younger lady who proceeded to tell me the truck put all the creamer on the bottom. ( so she found it, saw where it was then decided NOT TO RESTOCK) employee #3 was at checkout and was unable to help. ( That I do understand) then the short little manager who was there the entire time and saw the disaster all over her store because she was there, had knowledge that by 6:00 am people will want coffee an can clearly see the place is a health hazard in the condition it was in at that time,walked around not doing a dang thing. Perhaps just wandered off to look busy. Total mismanagement here. There should be no reason with the amount of employees that this store was in such a disgusting condition other than pure laziness. Read more02/28/23 This morning the Deli was closed only 3 employees over night this morning. I express to Leon how I was hungry and since we were bust at work no hot food. Leon suggested he make me a Turkey, Bacon,Ranch Croissant Melt I agreed and boy can I say it was a delicious treat. 11.01.22 It was such a pleasure to see Bradley working covering for others and had a great crew of Leon, Wilfredo along with him. 10.9.22 Tonight Wilfredo was in the Deli and made the food and we were at the check out with Leon, new person and was very very nice to us. Best 2 guys on night shift now. 8.17.22 Tonight was i was introduced to a new employee Xavier on the over night shift he was very helpful and very nice. I do miss the nights when Terrell is not working and I really wish that they would get another person like Bradley to come work here. I am a tow truck driver that works overnight. I happen to go to this WAWA every single night that I am working. Mike that works in the Deli, and Bradley the night manager, Sarah the cashier are all great & happy to be working, very professional team.
