My daughter is the queen of bonchon, and we've visited locations around the world and the U.S. Unfortunately, this location is our least favorite. The staff is great—orders are always accurate and fast—and there’s a small dine-in area, though most business seems to be takeout. For out-of-towners like me, getting here can be tricky with Google Maps. If it directs you to Office Road, take the right fork at the Y.

What we don’t like is the chicken strips. While the sauce and flavor are consistent with other locations, the texture and size are different. These strips are long, skinny, and often overly breaded, which makes them less crispy. They feel more like breaded chicken tenders, with a thick coating and a less balanced meat-to-breading ratio. At other locations, the strips are broader, shorter, and have a better texture and ratio.

For reference, we’ve been here three times now, with the last visit on 1/2/25. This texture, cut of chicken, or whatever makes it different has been experienced each of the three times we've been here. UPDATE: My dad, who will literally eat anything, even said the texture was off and not pleasing to eat.

Our most recent Bonchon experience before this was in D.C. a month ago, where the chicken strips were the type we prefer.

To be clear, the chicken is fully cooked with no fat or gristle—it’s just a different preparation that might feel off if you’re used to other Bonchon locations. I haven’t tried their other menu items here, except for the slaw, which isn’t the kimchi slaw. If you ever see kimchi slaw on the menu elsewhere, give it a try—it’s fantastic, with gochujang and other...

We went here for the first time for an early Friday dinner. We had no idea what to order so we ended up with way too much, but it was all delicious, so that is just fine. We got soy garlic chicken legs, Bulgogi fries, coleslaw, pot stickers, street corn, and fountain drinks. The chicken legs are big, not like the fried chicken you find elsewhere now. The first bite was a surprising taste, but really good. The Bulgogi fries were a little spicy, but I'm a wuss when it comes to spice. The flavor was still yummy and I kept eating more between other bites. The coleslaw that comes with the meal is a tiny portion, but very good. We had plenty of food, so the small portion was not bothersome. The street corn surprised me. I was expecting corn on the cob with some seasoning over it. It was corn in a bowl with cheese and other ingredients and flavors. I really liked it. The pot stickers were delicious. I was so full, I was disappointed I could only eat one of them, but I brought them home and polished off the leftover later along with the rest of the corn. Not overly important, but I was impressed with the quality of the bowls, plates, and cups considering it was disposable. I love a decent fountain drink cup. There were 2 of us eating all this food and there was definitely enough for both us to eat 2 meals maybe even with a snack later. I think we paid between $50-$60, but we definitely ordered more than necessary. By myself, I'd get out for...

Bruh, my Uncle Roger would not approve of the fried rice here. So glad I ordered Plain to test just in case. For $10+ for fried this is subpar. I understand this is a chicken place so I shouldn't have high hopes but as an Asian who loves rice this was so disappointing. You know who has surprisingly good fried rice "for a chicken place"?! WNB factory!! I was wary of trying that at a fried chicken place but for $7 their fried rice is legit. Go there for fried rice needs not here.

The soy boneless chicken I had was indeed good but you know the blasphemy of this fried rice just ruined the entireexperience. (Yes this is how much I value rice. They are Asian owned so they should too!)

You can see the rice isn't even mixed thoroughly. Not deal breaker because yes maybe they were busy and the cook was rushed. We eat this at home sometimes. It's not always perfect but we aren't selling it.

Deal breaker was the rice was MUSHY. Like nooo 😱😱😱

Sorry but I usually don't write these reviews - I just love rice too much.

I don't need a coupon or refund - I just want them to fix this so I and (other rice lovers) can have good rice lol. I will go back for their chicken and I'm excited for it to be in Mason. I hope it prospers but please teach whomever made the rice today to make better...
