This place must have some amazing beer.
They have to. That's the only way I can explain anyone coming here to eat.
Excited to try the new spot near home, we loaded up and went out to get some food. Great design for the place - for good weather anyway. I have no idea how much fun it will be when it's cold, hot, rainy, windy, etc. It seems 80% of the place is outdoors, and this is Ohio.
The staff member taking our orders was great. The process was fine - order then they call you up to get your food. I was a bit annoyed that they insisted on my phone number and my first & last name. Do they really need all that? They said it was just to let us know when the order was ready.
Then we got our food - several burgers, wings, fries and shakes. The good news was we could taste the shakes. I checked the receipt and was surprised that my single burger (ordered as a double, but on my plate and the receipt as a single) was $13! It was smaller than my phone!
The burgers, buns, cheese and bacon were completely tasteless. And completely unseasoned. The wings had some taste - but only where they were burned and that taste was charcoal. And they were very burned. The fries were like eating air. I had a completely new experience in my life - putting a half eaten fry down and leaving it. There was no point to them. The barbecue sauce seemed to be 60% salt, 40% vinegar, and completely lacking in any barbecue sauce flavorings.
After eating I looked at the receipt again. I realized that I misread it - it said "add patty" at the bottom. I was supposed to get a double and not a single! I quickly hid the receipt and smiled. I did not want the double because I would then be in danger of eating it. I was happy to pay the extra to avoid that fate.
The shakes, however, were remarkably good.
EDIT: Good news! The food may be bad, but it doesn't stay with you long! Only bad part is my wife and I have had to keep running to the bathroom the entire...
Read moreAtmosphere 10/10 Beer taste & selection 10/10 Food 2/10 — the burgers are well done times 10. Pretty gross. Thickness of a McDonald’s hamburger then add more well done to that. A $2.75 burger quality that will cost you $7.50. I get that they have 100 orders at a time, maybe there’s not a good way to do this, but just an idea — how about you not allow “mobile orders” when you haven’t been in business longer than 2 months (ever seen “the bear” ?!) when you have 100+ in person orders at a time that you clearly can’t service — especially when you are 2 months into opening. Just seems like a bad business practice that will turn people away. Food was cold, our party was missing items, the line to pick up was 25 deep bc it’s the same line as milkshakes (which takes forever). Just a bad setup.
The pictures you’ll see of the burgers on here look like them either. The “fry sauce” on the burger that you see 50W show “oozing” off the burger is fake. We had one little dot that covered 8% of the bottom bun. I get it if this is a $2 McDonalds burger. But when you’re paying $8 a burger it better have the proper portions
Great for drinking - but eat before you get here!
Inside/outside seating is nice, tonight it was super cold inside (garage doors open) and they said the owner sets the temp ahead of time and nothing can be done which is frustrating. It was freezing cold blowing cold air when it got down to 64 degrees at night, everyone that was inside was uncomfortable, need to have more...
Read moreVisited for the first time Saturday evening and found a decent table outside under cover despite a couple private events and brisk business. Got starter beers w/no issues but the food ordering process failed. Kiosk worked fine but we were never notified our food was ready. The couple we were with submitted their order within seconds of ours and were notified after about 15-20 minutes. Not wanting to be ‘that guy’, I patiently waited near the pickup window. After exactly thirty minutes, I assumed something had gone wrong and asked about our order number only to be told that it had been ready and just sitting there for some time; likely 10-15 minutes. Staffer and I verified my mobile number and reviewed the order confirmation and survey link I received, but no order ready notification. No apology, no explanation, no offer to replace the cold, soggy food. Subsequent beers were OK, not great and the bar service was inconsistent. Overall, not great but I’m sure we’ll give it another shot at some point. Should certainly have kinks like this worked out by now. Easy to have a proactive timer on food orders and there were plenty of bartenders to provide...
