On January 18th I purchased two pizzas at Blaze Pizza in Mason. I ask the server for the regular cheese. He needed to replenish the cheese container but the server chose not to. There was a pile of cheese in the corner of the pan which he could have taken cheese off the top it. When you scrape the pan, it also has other ingredients that have fallen in the pan, while preparing other pizzas. I ask the server not to scrape the pan three times and he tried to act like he didn't hear me and said he didn't no what I was talking about therefore he continued to ignore my request. If I just wanted everything on my pizza, I would have order it. He only gave me 7 pepperoni's and I had to ask another server to please add more pepperoni to my pizza. At this point I was very angry and dissatisfied. This server was rude, disrespectful, had an attitude about God only knows and he showed very poor representation for Blaze Pizza Restaurant. My son, grandson and I have been loyal customers since Blaze Pizza Restaurant opened in Mason. We patronize this establishment at least 4 to 5 times a month. I met the owner when he took over Blaze, who was very polite and courteous. I decided to return the next day January 19th to discuss this matter at hand with the manager about the situation and discovered the server that disrespected me was the manager. I was applaud! I ask him why did he treat me the way he did and he said to me that he I don't remember me. I told him that he was a liar and you remember every moment of that situation. Then to add insult to injury he said " I tell you what just what do you want in an aggressive tone?" I said oh you think this is about getting a free pizza! I said, I tell you what, you refuse to admit your rudeness, disrespect, lack of leadship skills that desperately needs to address and to give me an apology. If this matter is not address and attended to, eventually this type of service will cause some serious damage to your business. You know where I made my mistake? I should had walked out and left those pizzas right in your restaurant but I just didn't want to disappoint my grandson. My family truly enjoy Blaze Pizza but we will not tolerate the demeaning service that I received from...
Read moreBlaze Pizza in Mason, Ohio, has been one of my go-to spots for consistently delightful fast-casual dining. The experience has been overall highly enjoyable, warranting a solid 4-star rating.
The ambiance is casual and upbeat. The interior's modern and minimalist design, coupled with their eclectic playlist, creates a comfortable environment for all types of pizza lovers, from families with children to couples and groups of friends. I am particularly fond of their spacious patio seating - a great place to enjoy pizza on a sunny day.
Blaze's standout feature is the option to build your own pizza. Their 'assembly line' style allows you to craft your perfect pizza by choosing from a wide array of fresh, high-quality ingredients. The pizzas are then quickly fired in their blazing hot oven, true to the name. My personal favorite is the spicy red sauce with a blend of mozzarella, gorgonzola, grilled chicken, fresh basil, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze. The thin, crispy crust and the perfect char on top are the highlights.
The salads are a refreshing accompaniment, and the s'more pie makes for a great ending. Don't miss out on their craft beers and the blood orange lemonade - both pair excellently with their pizzas.
The staff has always been friendly, although during peak times, service can occasionally feel rushed. I’ve also noticed that while most ingredients are consistently fresh, there have been a few instances where the basil and tomatoes could have been fresher.
On the sustainability front, Blaze uses eco-friendly packaging, which is a commendable initiative. However, I would love to see them extend these efforts towards sourcing ingredients locally or sharing more about their supply chain practices.
In conclusion, Blaze Pizza in Mason, Ohio, delivers a fantastic customizable pizza experience, accompanied by an enjoyable atmosphere. A few minor tweaks would easily elevate this establishment to a 5-star experience. I definitely recommend this place for anyone in the Mason area looking for a quick, tasty, and personalized...
Read moreThis was the first time I ever visited Blaze Pizza and for the most part I was impressed. I like this restaurant and would definitely eat here again. It wasn't the best wood fired pizza I've had, but it was close and was still delicious and definitely not the worst I've had.
Here's the pros and cons:
-Food-
Pros: The pizza was pretty delicious! I had pieces of the Italian cheese steak pizza and margherita pizza, and both were pretty good and I'd order both again. The margherita was one of the best I've had. The menu had a variety of selections and the price was reasonable, especially with their buy one get one free deal they had at that time of night. The pizza was exactly what one would want from a wood fired pizzeria. It was creative, unique, stylish, and delicious.
Cons: Though my wife and I liked our pizzas quite a bit, the other couple that were with us couldn't stand their pizzas(which could have just been them). I didn't try either of theirs, but I did try the barbecue sauce from one of the pizzas and honestly, it wasn't that great. It tasted like an odd cross between barbecue sauce and steak sauce, and wasn't good. But other than that, the food was good.
-Service-
Pros: The hostess and server were both very friendly, professional, efficient, and hospitable, ESPECIALLY for the time of night we came in. We came in an hour before close(12am) and the service was excellent and the service was not a reflection of the time of night.
Cons: There actually were none. I have no complaints.
-Restaurant-
Pros: The restaurant was very clean, stylish, and trendy. This place was in a great location and had an awesome atmosphere. I definitely liked the look of the place!
Cons: I have no complaints here either!
Overall experience: This restaurant was a great place that I thoroughly enjoyed. My experience was exactly what I had hoped for.
Conclusion: I would really like to come back here. This is a...
