Our experience at Field House on last Friday was horrible from the time we checked in till the time we departed
We had brick chicken with roasted potatoes. $26. Potatoes were cold. Chicken was good. We had a trouble with our reservation because they said no tables for 2 available in dining room. We could be seated at a high top table /chair by bar. We tried it but the table next to us the man was extremely loud and we said not acceptable. We saw seat available in dining room but hostess was rude to us said we should have stated on reservation that we didn’t want a high top chair. Then the owner came up to us and said he would take care of us. He did find a table for us in dining room. We had just paid the bill and that hostess came up to us and said that the next reservation was expected and that we should leave. She walked away. I asked to talk to the owner and after 5 plus minutes he made it to our table. I asked him if it was policy for the hostess to rudely come by and tell people that they needed to leave. He then said that it was policy after one hour 35 minutes to tell people to leave. I said oh and that I wanted him to know that the chicken was good but the potatoes were cold and I thought hostess was rude and that we weren’t going to come back again. He then told me that I was rude to hostess. My fiend said that I never spoke to the hostess at all. He told her that she had an attitude and that from the start we were disrespectful to his staff. There were other tables that had been there as long as us but no one came up to them to tell them to leave. After I stated that we would not come back to the restaurant the owner never addressed the cold potatoes but rather focused that it was us who was rude. We left and I’m not recommending this restaurant. The restaurant is pricey, extremely loud and the hostess and owner were rude. I have never written a negative review nor stated that I would never come back to a restaurant but I was so offended by our treatment at Field House that I felt that I had to write this negative review for this...
Read moreI'm hoping the owner can turn this around b/c a nice restaurant in deerfield is a benefit for the community. And I rarely write a review, however this was so utterly terrible that perhaps it will be of benefit. In summary, sat 6 in a booth b/c the table was a 4 top with small leaves added and too small to sit at. Order wrong multiple times. For example, a sprite and seltzer was ordered wh/was brought as Prosecco and sprite (how this could even have been concocted is suspect)-this was sent back but left on the bill. One person asked for a salad with tuna but dressing on the side. Came w/no Tuna but w/dressing on salad and once again requested no dressing. Came back w/Tuna and more dressing. My wife and I had Kale salads w/candied walnuts and this was horrible. They make this in a bag at Trader Joes which would have tasted much better had they just used that. Fancy self serve water jugs on the table empty the entire meal. Had a hummus appetizer wh/was a scoop of roasted red pepper hummus w/bread (not terrible). Some indescribable burrata like salad. Took 15 minutes to get the check. Hopefully only growing pains and wishing them success, but off to a...
Read moreI cannot express how happy I am this new restaurant opened! From the time I walked in to the time I left I had the best service and experience. The food is by far the best. The calamari was cooked perfectly so crispy! And the curds to die for!!!! I had to order a bit of everything because I just couldn’t decide on only one thing! The Nashville chicken sandwich is a must! And the surf and turf is by far my fav! I also cannot forget about the drinks! The passionate affair and the margarita so good! And to end it all a cookie skillet with gelato had me in a food coma!!! I will definitely be back for some girls night out. Amazing job and highly...
