Upper Crust Bagels - Deerfield — Restaurant in Deerfield

Food tasted ok but service was lacking. I ordered two bagel sandwiches on two different bagels. Once I got home, I opened them up and found they reversed the bagels for each sandwich so neither was on the correct bagel. Went back to the store to have them redone and they blamed me for ordering it wrong - which I did not. I'm sure I ordered them correctly. Other customers heard them blaming me and we're discouraged with that kind of customer service. They remade the sandwiches in a huff but didn't offer anything else for my time. Will probably give them another chance but there are other good options for bagels...

Classic jewish deli, with really solid bagels and breakfast sandwiches. It has the right atmosphere, and the service is pretty good. Definitely the best bagels you can find north of Skokie (NY Bagel and Bialy takes the cake in Chicagoland). Their prices have really skyrocketed though. $8.99 for a breakfast bagel is insane. And a dozen bagels will run you $17.99 before cream cheese. Definitely overpriced given that they operate out of an old strip mall in hidden back alley, but I guess they have very little...

Deli meat was good but the corned beef wasn't cut right so it was long strands and chewy. Beef Pastrami was outstanding. Chicken Noodle soup tasted like it was made Saturday, I was there on a Monday. Most disappointing was the potato salad which was either spoiled or on the fridge of going bad. Couldn't eat it. There are lots of other items I wanted to try but I'm not sure I'll go back. Friendly service may be the reason I give the lox and pizza...
