Jimmy John's — Restaurant in DeForest

Like everything, the prices are outrageous. $30+ for me and my wife to have a simple sub, chips and drink. What is really offensive is the tipping. You are not a restaurant that waits on tables. You should not tip for ordering "freaky fast" subs at the counter. The card machine throws the tip % in your face. Then to select nothing you have to hit "other," press zero, then it recalculates (to the same amount) and you have to swipe your card again. Basically in attempt to make customers feel guilty about not tipping employees who get an hourly wage to make subs. I tip good for someone who waits on me in a restaurant. I Have on my ordering notes to knock on my door, but since I was in the living room waiting for my sandwich I heard the driver throw my sandwich hitting the floor and when I seen him leave and his Dodge Caravan went outside to look at my order and it was out of the bag all over the floor including my sandwich Mayo packets cookie and napkins so when I come in to open my sandwich they put on two pieces of bacon for the extra meat that I wanted also didn't cut my sandwich in half like I requested and no cheese but didn't get my money back for that extra charge either I would not recommend this Jimmy John's by far I will go out of my way to find another Jimmy John's to make my sandwich correct and have a more...

This location give decent service 50% of the time. They are doing a 2.99 sub deal today and of course the website is "currently unavailable", so I called. I was on hold for 22 minutes meanwhile hearing all conversations in the back ground about how they are too busy to take calls. I tried calling on another phone and all lines were busy. By the time I got to the location I was on hold for 28 minutes, and of course, all the phones were disconnected. There was another instance where I came in over an hour before they closed and I was told they could not sell me a sandwich because they had no more bread... Which seems to be a staple of a sub shop.
