Since the very first week open this location has been out of basic foods/drinks. We have ordered all times of day and night . Not once have they not been out of something. Out of last SIX visits, 3 of those visits we were told out of tenders or spicy chicken only to find out afterwords they just didn’t want to cook them. Several times including today was out of Coke!!! How do you run out of syrup that doesn’t go bad. I had made the comment today this was first order they were not out of something. Then told out of Coke. As they bagged up order THEN THEY RAN OUT OF COLE SLAW. In the time it took to put order Togeather they could have MADE coleslaw!! I have worked in several restaraunts and actualy made coleslaw from scratch cutting up cabbage by hand and a whole tub took me less then 10 min!!! Called to talk to owner. Was told Gen Manager Patricia Richard would be in later. Will let you all know!!!! There is absolutely no excuse for lying about not having basic product being to lazy to prepare or be out of non perishable items routinely!!!!! The order takers at window are commonly rude. Girl at counter today was nice but that’s the exception on not the rule. This is the ONLY LOCATION we have run into this problem and it’s EVERY SINGLE TIME!!!! Last time when out of tenders after calling 5 min before to make SURE they had them we got told they are out! Told them we just called to insure they had some and now told out and that we will be calling manager Ishmael, as he told us if ever happens again let him know personally and onlyTHEN told if willing to wait they will cook some!!! Girl at window was extreamly rude. This place needs to be boycotted until they can fire entire staff and rehire people who really want a job. I am a “local guide” and this is one of the worst reviews I’ve posted . I left many 4 and 5 star reviews for other restaraunts in area to prove I don’t give unfair reviews. The service here is flat out...

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Popeyes in DeKalb, IL, and I must admit, my expectations were utterly exceeded. It’s not often that a fast food establishment leaves such a lasting impression, but this location has redefined my perspective on the relationship between customers and the Popeyes brand.
From the moment I walked through the door, I was greeted with infectious energy and enthusiasm. Mike G and his outstanding team demonstrated what true hospitality should feel like. Their attentiveness, efficiency, and dedication to quality were nothing short of phenomenal. It’s rare to find a fast food crew so synchronized and focused—each member knew their role, working with precision to deliver an impeccable experience.
What truly stood out was the speed and freshness of the food. In an industry often plagued by long waits and inconsistent quality, Mike G’s team delivered with such finesse it felt more like a well-oiled gourmet kitchen than a quick-service restaurant. The chicken was flawlessly crispy, the sides were vibrant and perfectly seasoned, and the entire meal was piping hot—an indulgent, savory delight from start to finish.
Mike G and his crew not only transformed my view of this Popeyes location, but they’ve also set a new gold standard for fast food service in general. It felt as though I was dining at a place overseen by none other than Gordon Ramsay himself! The level of care, detail, and customer satisfaction they displayed is deserving of the highest praise.
I extend my sincerest gratitude to Mike G and his remarkable team for turning what could have been an ordinary meal into an extraordinary experience. Your hard work does not go unnoticed, and I will certainly be returning—now with a newfound appreciation for what Popeyes can offer.
Bravo to the team, and thank you for your...
Read moreWent back to the nations worst Popeyes after hearing from a Facebook post that they restaffed and was not shocked to see the same familiar faces in there with the same horrible service. I was number 2 of 2 in line waiting for food after telling the cashier I was here for a pick up. After a few minutes a guy came in looking for a DoorDash order and he turns to me and goes “I knew I shouldn’t have accepted this order” after about 10 total minutes of waiting at this point I hear the cashier say to drop regular tenders (what me and the guy before me both had ordered) so I’m wondering what they had been doing before dropping those since even the drive thru wasn’t busier than 2 cars? But then the cashier turns to the DoorDash guy and tells him they are out of shrimp for his order and they can’t replace it with anything else which is absurd. After about 7-8 minutes they finally send the DoorDash guy out with his order and an older lady walks up to the man who was ahead of me in line, assuming they’re together and she had been waiting in the car this whole time she turns to me and says how this is easily the worst Popeyes she’s ever been to and that they should make a show about it. After around 25-30 total minutes of waiting for my order I finally get it and return home to cold wings because they have been siting on their counter forever, a maximum of 15 fries, and the only redeeming quality of this whole experience, fresh tenders. Which unfortunately did not make up for the horrible service, excessive wait time, and overall poor quality of food. I’m not entirely sure how this place has lasted all 4 years of my college career and it gets worse every year. I highly reccomend you take your money elsewhere in hope this place shuts down and is replaced with anything else since anything is better than the Popeyes that currently...
