Glidden Florist — Local services in DeKalb Township

Both my parents and I have been buying flowers from Glidden Florist since 1989 and we will never buy flowers/plants from anywhere else because of how wonderful Glidden Florist is! They have a large selection and they deliver flowers very quickly once you have ordered them. The flowers that I am writing this review for were ordered at 10:00pm and they were delivered to the person that I bought them for in the early afternoon the very next day! Their prices are very reasonable and they have a wide range of options so if you are on a limited budget you will still be able to afford to buy flowers from them. Also, they have been around since 1926 so they have firmly established themself as a quality business and the fact that they are not part of a large chain means that you will be supporting a local, independently owned business which is always important to do. We had Glidden Florist prepare the florals for our wedding celebration a little over a month ago. The overall experience was pleasant from the first inquiry/planning meeting all the way to the timely delivery of the flowers to the venue. They were very accommodating, helping us narrow down what we wanted and encouraging us to share photos of flowers/colors we liked so we could provide them with ideas of what we envisioned for the florals in our wedding. And the product(s) did not disappoint! The bouquets, boutonnières, corsages, and the sweetheart table centerpiece were all beautiful! I received a bouquet of flowers that died in two days. I have received flowers in the past and am aware of how to care for them. When I informed the shop about what happened, they interrogated me for several minutes making various comments blaming me that the flowers died. I was told to bring them in so she could see what happened. My daughter brought them by and the person who spoke to her was rude and did the same interrogation and blaming.
