River City Doughnut & Coffee — Restaurant in Del Rio

I began with “ I am going to get at least six maybe more donuts” and the counter lady grabbed a small white bag. Those bags seem OK for two, maybe three but certainly not six donuts! And not with frosting & filling. But I thought... take this through to its logical conclusion. Sure enough, she loaded in 6 plus I added a brownie and eclair. She could not get the top of the bag to even come together - let alone close - but she looked at me and begin to pass the bag across the counter! I said “there’s no way I can get that bag home without the donuts spilling out. Can I please have a box?” She looked as ruined as my donuts were but complied.

The sour cream donuts were excellent, the other donuts were fine. Other reviewers were absolutely correct that the donuts are exactly like Dunkin Donuts. They should really have at least a couple unique donuts!

My rating given to reflect the service; like anyplace be prepared to ask and give direction or you’ll go home to the kids with lemon pudding on the...

This is the ONLY place in town that inexplicably tried to force customers to wear a masks at the drive thru. Them turning us down at the drive thru made our first visit, the last. When I left this same review on another review site, instead of perhaps trying to explain, they had the review site remove our review, I guess because it made them ashamed or angry or both. Either way, this is a terrible local business, I wish Dunkin Doughnuts had never left or that Krispy Kream some day finds its way to our town because River City would be better off without River City Doughnuts and whomever owns that establishment. Maybe the angry owner can go and have this taken down so I can post it again in a different review site. I look forward to that because we won't forget...

Zero respect for customers. DO NOT GO HERE!! FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE!! I pick up breakfast here when I’m in town and tried to do the same today. I patiently waited in the drive through line for 15 minutes and when I reached the window they wouldn’t even open the glass. The two women working inside motioned to their masks saying that I was required to have one on. One on in my own vehicle, alone, and in the drive though lane. But sure it was ok for my dirty credit card or cash to pass through and for them to handle food I was about to eat. I will not support a business that is going to perpetuate the mask lies by making me wear one in my own vehicle. Meanwhile they’re having pool parties in Wuhan. Start asking...
