I had a very bad experience with HomeGoods in Delafield, Wisconsin and wanted to share it. Marie the manager on duty waved the store policy in my face literally stating that items cannot be refunded after 30 days. I mean she grabbed it and held it in my face. That's how she has been trained she stated it is the store policy. On the online purchase receipt it clearly states the policy for online orders is 40 days. It was purchased 35 days ago clearly within the stated window for a refund. When I show it to her she stated it does not apply here and if I had a problem I would need to talk to Cody the first shift manager. I noted she clearly cannot read because the receipt is a legal document. She has a very bad attitude and should not be in this position. She exclaimed this was the training she received by HomeGoods. Clearly she has poor customer service and lacks the ability to read a clearly stated receipt. I just wonder how many people has she clearly cheated out of...
   Read moreI love shopping in HomeGoods. However, I will stay away from this one. First, they don't know how to staff and lines are sometimes are too long. Secondly, the current manager needs to better understand the importance of customer service. I brought a household item back with a gift receipt that they couldn't scan. So she would not return the item at all. Really? They couldn't even provide me an instore credit for the total price ofan item $19.95. Manager offered the current sale price of $7.00 and that is with the gift receipt. Hope they will remove this manager as soon as they can as she obviously not familiar with the customer...
   Read moreI enjoy this store, however the last 3 times I've been there (this month) the line has been out of control. There will be employees coming and going behind the counter talking about eating lunch or just being social to the one or two people checking people out while there are 7/8 people waiting. Last time I went it took about 15 minutes for me to get up to check out and I almost just left my cart because I had to be somewhere. This is unacceptable, and if I had more time, I would've asked to inform management while I was present. It definitely makes me go to Tuesday Morning and Ross and Hobby...
