I was really excited to try this place since I have eaten delivery pizza from here and wasnt disappointed. Unfortunately it seems that only pizza may be the strong point here. I arrived at the restaurant just after dinner rush and it was neither busy or slow. I saw a double sided sign that said wait to be seated and seat yourself by the front. It was rotated showing "please wait to be seated" I stood by the front door for several minutes before walking to the "to go counter" and being told to seat myself. Not really a big deal but attention to detail was a recurring problem so I thought I'd mention the first occurrence. When I sat myself, I waited an additional 10 minutes before a server found themselves to my table. Again not a big deal but I was a newly seated guest, no one else new had arrived, the waitress walked by me at least three times, and no one else had even offered me a menu or said hi to me so luckily I had the fore thought to get myself a menu from the "to go counter". At one point before ordering my food I was told that they closed at 9pm and that it was 8:43pm, the process felt rushed and honestly I took no offense but if I hadnt had to wait for nearly 20 minutes just to get to this point in a scarcely populated restaurant she probably wouldnt have felt the urge to utter such nonsense. I finally got to order and she asked me what I wanted to eat and drink. No introductions, just straight to the point. Clearly training is needed on how to properly greet, seat, and wait a table. I ordered very basic food so as not to make the kitchen have to work so hard. The request was for a House Salad no olives with ranch dressing and an 8 count garlic parmesan wing. I ordered a diet Coke and a Water. I took the time to ask if the salad was prepared fresh to ensure that the no olive request wasn't too much of an ask. You guessed it, the salad came topped with several large black olives. Attention to detail, clearly lacking. I wish I could say that this was the end of the faux pas for the evening but it wasn't. The server never refilled my drinks once and when I received my food it was very clearly not the food industries' standard for Garlic Parmesan Wings. I was presented with a plate of overcooked just before the point of burnt wings floating in chopped garlic and oil and a senseless pile of parmesan on top. Nonetheless I remembered my French teacher from grade school telling me to always trust the Chef. This time Madame Shaffer you were wrong. The wings were edible but the recipe was wrong. I almost asked for a refund but something told me that it wasnt worth it and since I was hungry I soldiered through and ate the wings scraping the bulk of the chopped garlic and parmesan mix into the bowl. Not being a total negative nancy, the salad sans olives that I removed manually was pleasant, crunchy, and fresh the thickly quartered tomatoes where nearly perfect. The soda and water were refreshing and had a reasonable ratio of ice to beverage and tasted clean and filtered. The atmosphere was pleasant and the music was an appropriate playlist of italian classical music that one would expect at a decent italian eatery. The decor was trendy and matched the rustic New York inspired italian bistro brickwork. Overall the cleaniness was good. There was some minor disrepair but nothing that touch up paint and polishing the surfaces on the tables and the stainless steel couldnt fix. Overall I would not recommend this place over something like Olive Garden for a dine in experience given that the food is not as good and is not priced at a better value. I would recommend trying their pizza at least once and making your judgement from there. 2 stars is my rating for now because while I think if I had experienced this level of food and service anywhere else I would give 1 star however, I have had their pizza before and...
Read moreI will never eat at this pizzeria ever again. My daughter and I wanted to do an early Father’s day dinner (Friday Night 06/19/2021), instead of trying to deal with the crowds on Sunday. We tried a few other places first and all had a 30 minute wait time, so we came to Anthony's Pizza. After walking in and standing in the, “Please wait to be seated” area. The waitress stares at us and the other party ahead of us, and then she just yells from across the dining area, very loud, to just sit wherever we can. I look around for a seat with a bit of padding, I have a chronic pain in my back. There are only the little tables that seat 2 and no real table space for anything. Then I see a booth that is open on my right, so we sit down at it. We both sit and move towards each other from each end. I felt something under my shoe, so I looked under the table and see nasty things. I saw a straw and drink lid on top of, what looked like barf, spilled food of all sizes, some kind of dried up syrup ( I bet it’s a dried up soda). I tell my daughter as she moves closer to me, be careful not to step in the nasty stuff that I am describing to her. As soon as I tell her about the gross things under the table, she see a sign that says, “Table is reserved for parties of 6 and more”. I reply to her, oh well, there is only the tiny tables that have no padding on the chairs. It’s right at this time this rude waitress walks over and demands us to get out of the booth as it for parties of 6 or more. I didn’t really mind on moving, so I asked, “Are there any booths or places that are well padded?” She couldn’t be bothered to help or look at me and answer. She decides the proper manners are to walk away, facing away from us and shout no. I look around again for somewhere to sit. There were 2 small tables right next to the booth we were kicked out of and it had a padded bench. But a woman and a child was at one, but there was another had a stack of plates with half eaten food. I first thought it was the woman and child’s used plates, but they had their plates in front of them. So I looked around to see to whom they belonged too, no one was close enough for anyone else to reach and place this pile of filth on the only table that had a padded seat I could sit at. So my only conclusion is that the waitresses were stacking dirty plates on this table (never saw a bus boy or bussing tray). So between the waiting staff’s horrible manners and lack of professionalism, the mess under the 6 plus party table that looked like over a week old or since last cleaned, and the pile of dirty plates with old food on them. We left, later my daughter asked me why we left. I told her all I noticed and she told me she was mad at the waitress for not caring when I asked about padded seating. I had to explain to her, if under that table was like that, guess how the rest of what you can’t see is.
I know this was long, but this is why I will never ever eat at this nasty and rude place again.

UPDATE: Disappointed again. This time I stopped in and got a veggie supreme slice, cheese slice, and a Sprite to go. The toppings were plentiful on the veggie supreme but the crust was wet and soggy and limp and far too thin. It fell apart as I ate it. And it just didn’t taste that great. This was a pizza that used to be amazing. But twice now it hasn’t been made correctly. That’s another $16 wasted at Anthony’s added to the $37 wasted last time. So I won’t be back. So sad that they didn’t keep things the way they were. At least the service was good. UPDATE: I bought a sm antipasta and a med veggie supreme pie yesterday, Jan 29th. ix). The antipasta tasted very good but I was VERY disappointed with the pizza. The toppings were skimpy and the crust was burned (see pic). This is my usual order, so I know what to expect. And it definitely wasn’t worth the ~$37 (total bill). I am concerned about what another reviewer posted about the quality going down hill. I haven’t eaten here in a few months so hopefully it hasn’t changed since then — another reviewer claims it has. Anthony if you’ve skimped on quality then go back to what you were doing before. When something works don’t fix it. Every time that I have eaten here it hands down has been the absolute best pizza and antipasta in Florida. I am from the NJ PA NY tri-state area where the best pizza in the country is made, and I have tried many pizza parlors since moving to FL and they all make seriously lousy pizza. Thank goodness an Italian guy told me about Anthony’s Pizza. Finally pizza dough made right! They use top-shelf ingredients and that is evident in the superior taste. It’s also evident in the price you’ll pay — expensive but worth every penny. I once paid $7 for a slice of veggie and it was so dang big and delicious. Oh and the antipasta tastes like your Italian grandmother made it! Service always has been fine when I was there, even dine-in on a Friday night when it was packed. I don’t like the TVs playing in the dining room — ick. Just play...
