Jeremiah's Italian Ice — Restaurant in DeLand

I am a fan of Jeremiah's product. Almost any time I am in Daytona Beach I go there. I was excited to hear they were opening a location in my town. I have been there twice since they opened in DeLand, and found them to be up to my high expectations.

When our family went there this evening to get our fix, we received a different experience from the previous visits. We were told that we had to wear masks to order.

Since 1) there is no scientific evidence showing that masks help "slow the spread", and 2) there are significant medical risks associated with constant mask wearing, and 3) it has been over a year since this ridiculous mask wearing epidemic began, and 4) masks are dehumanizing, teaching us to think of fellow members of our own species as nothing more than bags of germs, and 5) I am not a sled dog, blindly following the direction of the man with the whip... and many more that I don't have time to list... I don't voluntarily patronize businesses that enforce mask policies. So my party of six (including me) went next door to Publix and got ice cream bars... 2 for 1!

Now I realize that many who may actually read through all of this will think I am the bad person in this scenario. That is fine. Keep in mind, you don't have any data to support your blindly following the piper.

My main hope is that someone who makes these decisions will read this. In reading it, you should know that I have not falsified anything or exaggerated. I am a fan of Jeremiah's. You have not lost a sale, but a repeat customer... and his family... and any group of people he happens to be hanging out with on any given evening.

Love it, second choice after Redeo Whip, except, Redeo Whip was out of vanilla soft serve. Really, they only sell ice cream and nobody thought to make sure there was enough vanilla for sale. This is like KFC being out of chicken or MacDonalds being out of fries. I guess its a mellennial thing, serve it till its gone, then close and go home. There's always competition and this place has great service, its clean and friendly. I was greeted with a smile and a warm welcome. I guess its time for a change. By the way, I did sit in line a solid hour at Redeo Whip, I learned a good lesson. The soft serve at Jeremiahs tasted much...

If I could give this store a zero I would EXCEPT for the girl at the front she was very nice, I walked into Jeremiah’s to buy two ice creams for me and my daughter and the owner or what it looked like to me a manager saw me walk in there and walks away did not even ask me to take my order at all instead I waited after a child that was in front of me for about 6 or 7 minutes and we were the only two customers in the store shortly after that a couple walks in an the manager goes towards them to help them and completely ignored me but she looked at me— but at the end of the day we all know why she did not assist me and it...
