Location and flavor: I was expecting this place to open since it is 15 min away from, their other closest location is 45 min that I drive because of the taste of puertorrican Chinese food, Deland location food flavor is not as the location in Orlando, it's good but not as good.
Serving portions: Also in Orlando when paying for shrimp is a decent amount we get on the rice, this location on half gallon rice I literally found 10 shrimps and the rice bowl was not full to the top either like usual Chinese places do. Not to mention that out of 10 pieces of chicken 4 were wings and 1 drumstick (I would expect evenly distribution of pieces, after 2 drumsticks, 2 breast, 2 wings, 2 thighs and the last 2 pieces of wing match it with a breast or if drumsticks match it with a thigh).
Time management: I ordered and paid online and we gave plenty of time for the order to be ready but when in there we still had to wait about 15 - 20 min (the time it was specified it will take the order to be ready, so even we paid in advance and gave plenty of time food wasn't ready or given to other customer without starting to prepare our order).
Customer service: Friendly staff and happy.
Place size: Very small I wouldn't eat in there because there is barely space. Take out it is the way to go there. It was clean nothing messy just small.
Overall: I know they just opened and this was their second day(I understand they will get curves through them but they should be prepared too), I will give them another chance hopefully they will take these reviews into consideration and improve for the next visit.
Edit: I dropped a start from 3 to 1, I ordered 2 different days including today and like 2 weeks ago.
Good that they do have a family offer that actually includes meat in addition to the chicken, fries and rice.
However all 3 times I ordered I always get 4 chicken wings in the family box and if you want to make it evenly they made you pay more for it. It shouldn't be like that, I don't mind taking an extra wing but if that is the case match it with breast, and if you will give me the 9th piece of drumsticks then match it with a thigh.
2nd first time I ordered online it give me hard times and we had to wait this time I ordered over the phone I asked if the order will be available and mentioned previous inconvenience and they said it will be ready, once we arrived they say of not paid over the phone order are not taken, well if not mentioned how I'm gonna know, so when we arrived we had to order again and wait after ordering over the phone.
Not planning to continue to get my business there anymore, not deserving after 3 opportunities not once they meet my expectations sadly to say there is too much Hussle to get some food, always extra waiting time, and on top of that is to get a...
Read moreI truly don’t understand why anyone uses the word “authentic” or “fresh” when reviewing this place. The rice is obviously premade. The taste, texture was horrible. Once they said I couldn’t modify the rice (cause my wife don’t eat pork) it was the first red flag and I should’ve turned around and left because I know that means the rice is premade, and definitely tasted premade and stale. And why would I want fries with everything???Especially soggy fries. Every combo comes with them and you can’t sub for anything else. If you’re from the Bronx and looking for that Puerto Rican/Cuban chinos that we are used to, this is NOT it. In NY they’re actually chinos from PR/Cuba, these are just Ricans reheating premade stale Chinese food. Not a single chino in that kitchen, but I gave them a chance. Not what I expected, very disappointed. I was told by the lady in front that the fried chicken would be comparable to chicharon de pollo, I was so excited, but it was not, it was just regular fried chicken. The younger girls up front weren’t friendly at all either and had no idea what chicharon de pollo even was. I never ate chinos in PR but I can’t imagine that this reheated food is “authentic” to them. The good reviews had me fooled, them people obviously don’t know good Chinese food. Waste of $76, never again. Maybe I’m just spoiled by the Chinos in NY like Sabrosura in the Bronx and La Dynastia in Manhattan, that to me is true...

I made an order through Uber eats and Ordered Beef Lo Mein and Orange Chicken.
To start with they gave me the wrong order and only gave me orange chicken and fried rice. I was pretty disappointed since that was half of my order missing but I digress. The fried rice was just subpar at best, there was really no flavor to it besides the oil that was used to fry it. As soon as you take a bite you can immediately tell that they did not change out the oil because it definitely left a funky week old oil flavor in my mouth.
Now we move on to the “Orange Chicken”. They give you a small portion of chicken compared to the rice, they pieces of chicken themselves were super tiny, either they have anorexic chickens or it was chickens fake cousin, flickin… In terms of the texture the chicken is super soft and not crispy at all, kinda gives me Chinese mall food vibes. Now to the flavor, I don’t know what was going on back there in the kitchen but when they say “orange chicken” it should taste like orange chicken. Unfortunately there was no orange flavor or anything to be found in this, the same problem with the rice can be found with the chicken, the OIL. The only thing you can taste is the old oil and it really leaves a nasty taste in your mouth.
I’d love to support spots like this where it’s a fusion spot BUT you guys definitely gotta rework the chicken and change...
