Capriotti's Sandwich Shop — Restaurant in Delaware

Capriottis used to be a name for quality subs and sandwiches but not anymore. When the original store was on longneck road, you would get fresh rolls, great subs, and a friendly atmosphere.

This location has been nothing but terrible, ignorant service from a bunch of lowlife little kids, poor service, and consistently messed up orders. Last night was nothing different.

Last night, 1/22/2023, was the final straw. Tried to call in our order for over 35 minutes but nobody there would answer the phone so I sent my daughters to get dinner. Upon arrival, the place was completely empty. After placing the order, the rude little kids in the back were sitting around playing and not making the order. 20 minutes went by and the order still wasn't getting made, 30 minutes went by and now it's finally getting a little busier in the store and finally decided to make the order. I told my daughters just to get the money back and we will take our business elsewhere from now on but since there was no manager on duty, we were unable to get the money back and forced to take what they made.

To make matters worse, our meal was messed up from beginning to end. They only had 2 large rolls so that started the order off on a bad foot. The first large italian sub had exactly 6 pieces of meat and 1 piece of broken up cheese on the sub, a few pieces of lettuce, some onions, spices, and that's about it. They missed the mayonnaise, sweet and hot peppers, and the rest of the meat and cheese. The second large italian was very poor quality as well. lack of meat, a complete lack of cheese, big chunks of lettuce ends, no tomatoes, no peppers, no nothing except lettuce and onions. They even forgot the spices on this one which is pretty pathetic considering it was right in front of them.

The 3 employees (2 teen girls and a teen boy) that were there were extremely ignorant and childish. I wish the owners could look back on the cameras and fire all 3 of them! Now because we asked for a refund, the male employee called my daughter a dyke which is completely and utterly disrespectful to say to a customer especially since she is engaged to her boyfriend. I will be contacting corporate headquarters and filing a chargeback with my bank for this poor excuse for an eating establishment.

I will never order from this place again and recommend everyone in the longneck area to boycott this place until they hire people that actually care about their job. I wouldn't even call this place a capriottis, it's more like...

Yesterday we ordered 2 subs - one 18 inch chicken cheese stake, and second one veggies and cheese sub on while wheat role to go- when the subs arrived in place of vegetables and cheese sub I was given cheese stake sub! We don’t eat red meat… how can they make such a big mistake… never going back to this place again! The chicken cheese stake was not that great either! How could they make such a blatant mistake? I was the only customer at the time! The person who took order clearly wasn’t paying attention… spend less time on the phone and pay attention to your customers!! And it’s not cheap either!! I didn’t even bother calling or make a trip… 20 Minutes to go and 20 minutes to come back wasn’t worth wasting my gas!! I was so looking forward to Capriottis coming to the area, because it is hard to find a good hoagie in Sussex county. Well, was I ever disappointed and dissatisfied. I have been there three times since opening and every single time my sandwiches were wrong. Either wrong items put on them or the roll was stale. I do not believe that anyone in the store knows how to make a good hoagie. How can you not get it right when it is there in front of you on a piece a paper?
