Dairy Palace is the definition of a hometown gem. If you grew up in New Castle, you’ve absolutely spent summer nights in the parking lot, eating ice cream cones off the milk crates behind the stand. It’s a tradition, a rite of passage, and an experience that never gets old.
The ice cream? Phenomenal. The serving sizes are huge for the price, and everything on the menu hits the mark. They’ve also kept up with the times—they now accept credit cards, debit cards, and even tap-to-pay, which makes grabbing a treat even easier.
The customer service is always warm and welcoming. They’re incredibly kid-friendly and even make your furry family members feel special with their famous pup-cups. It’s clear the staff truly care about the people (and pets!) who come through.
Thank you, Dairy Palace, for being a constant in this community. You’re not just an ice cream stand—you’re a piece of New Castle...
Read moreI ordered a banana split and while I waited I was excited because it’s the beginning of the year when dairy Palace opens also they do not charge a fee to use a credit card anymore and you don’t have to buy $10 first. As I looked over, the ice cream was towering inside of this flimsy container that there was no sides. Strawberries fell out as I was walking to my car, barely any chocolate sauce, and about three or four pineapple pieces, Because after putting in banana and 5 pounds of ice cream, there was no room for anything else. I suggest maybe spend a little more on a bigger container Or double them up. For $9.75. I got literally a half of a banana and a half a gallon...
Read moreTonight I got two cones both were horrible thin and pencil like. I'm sorry it's been a while since I have been there but come on now really? My ice-cream like bent over melting when they first came out so I had to get a cup and on my two minute ride home the other did that and melted on my shoes on the way into the door. The young ones that work here need to up their game. Hell think about it the more ice-cream you put in cones the less you have to clean out the machines at the end of the night. That made my anxiety flair up so bad because I thought my people at home upset that it was that way. We used to love that place....but now where are we going to get ice-cream late at night that still open when we don't want...
