So I’ve been an avid customer to this establishment for the last seven years and I buy a couple of cakes from them each year. Until recently when I tried to order a cake that I’ve ordered every year for the last three or four years and was told they no longer had the cake. So something just told me to call back and ask again and I was told that they do have the cake so I order the cake now previously I just had to call in 24 to 48 hours ahead of time which I’ve been doing this already but was told they didn’t have the cake and it bothered me so bad knowing that I previously Several times that I just had to keep calling back. Well, I got the owner and this time I realized this is not the same owner before. The owner is now someone else and he has a really bad nasty attitude. He has no clue what he sells what he has and then once he figured it out, he tried to make it my fault by saying I should’ve called earlier because they couldn’t give me the cake without a three day notice. He was very loud, rude and obnoxious, and tried to make whoever he was talking to on the other side, think that I was hollering at him because he kept saying do not holler and I was not hollering. I was speaking in a very even Tone.. I am in such disbelief that these are the people now running this establishment. I will not be spending my money here with these kind of people who are rude, condescending knowledgeable, and definitely not in the Customer Service business. The beautiful things about this place has really gone downhill. I will no longer be eating there for lunches, and I definitely won’t be getting my cakes. I’ll have to go all the way to Pennsylvania and get them from somebody else. This was so disturbing all of the good businesses are being taken over by people who don’t care about the community they serve in refuse to spend with them. . Did I mention that this is a $59 cake:… yeah definitely not getting anything else from them again and will advise others against being subjected to this type...
Read moreMy husband and I really enjoyed going to The Legend for a few years, but will no longer go. We went there today, 6/8/25, and the heavyset waitress (Suzy I think?) scammed us on our receipt. When she took my order she said I could get one side. She read off the sides and I asked if I could get a salad as a side, she said yes. I ordered chocolate milk and half way through, realized there was white curdled floaties in my cup at the top. She should have noticed this! I asked her to make me a new one and she didn't apologize, just walked away. Our food arrived, she walked away, and I looked down and realized we had no silverware. She should have noticed this! While my food got cold, I had to wait a while for her to come back to ask her for silverware to eat my food. Again, she didn't apologize. She barely checked on us, never refilled my husband's coffee, and was just awful. She brought the check and I realized my chicken croquettes were more expensive than they were on the menu. I took my check up to pay, but grabbed a menu to see what happened. Sure enough my meal was supposed to be $17.99, not over $20. The guy at the register called our server over and she said with an attitude that I was charged an extra $2.50 for the salad. I said I specifically asked you if that could be my side and you didn't mention an upcharge. She just stared at me with a nasty face, didn't apologize. The guy at the register did nothing to help. I walked over and grabbed her $6 cash tip off our table and we left. In the past, my husband asked for cheese on his eggs and they charged him $2+ and didn't tell him. This is a sneaky and dishonest way to run a restaurant and we will never be back. Even on our birthday cause we loved their desserts. Scammers...
Read moreI’m truly sad to say it was awful. I wanted this place to do well. Food is the first indication that denotes if they are struggling. Let me begin by saying I tipped over 20% regardless. It’s Christmas. And I’m generous. I was there just over 1/2 hr. That’s how poor the food was. There was nothing to do if you’re not eating.
The BLT- Overall Thin. Odd tasting mayo. Bacon had off taste & likely left over from the morning and reheated.
The seafood scampi-
HARD pass on this folks. It was chicken gravy over pasta. No kidding. Gravy. As in mashed potato’s and… No hint of butter/garlic. Thick. chicken. Gravy. (& not very good) Weak on the seafood. A few flakes of crab, & I’m not certain it wasn’t imitation. Shrimp were large. 2 Scallops. I know this because it was all I could eat. Did I mention Gravy.? Revolting.
Crab bisque soup- again, signs they aren’t doing well & cutting corners like a race car driver. It was consistency of pudding. And seemed cut HARD with flour to stretch it out maybe? Because it had the taste of that. Flour pudding.
Waitress was sweet. & asked how the meal was. And I said it was bad. I went up to pay…again, asked how the meals was..I said bad. And I asked if the man over there was the owner and she said yes. & he ghosted quick. And In all fairness, I did not ask to speak with him. I did not ask for $ off my 45$ bill. That’s not my way. It should have been voluntarily offered. Even insisted. I tried the restaurant and was really hoping it would be good. Once is enough. I think they could’ve followed up on my honesty about my meal. So Hard pass this restaurant gentle reader. You’ve...
