Had dinner here Saturday night. Our waitress was not attentive at all! After asking several employees for silverware and plates for our food, we were told “if we have any”. We asked to speak with the manager whose response was “we are busy. We have six (bowling) lanes filled as well” He also brought us dessert plates to eat our pizza on so our pizza was hanging off the plate, onto the table! We complained that for the prices, we deserved better service and asked if he could take something off the bill to which he replied “see me before you leave”. During this all of our drinks needed to be refilled but our waitress wouldn’t come to check on us, so we had to ask another waitress for refills. Our waitress stood right next to the other waitress that was refilling our drinks and still did not come to check on us. After waiting for an unreasonable amount of time, and our waitress still avoiding our table she finally comes back to ask if we need anything. We said the check and 5 boxes. She brings the check, barely acknowledging us again. We asked for the manager again. He comes over and asks what we need. We again explain the issue and he sees nothing wrong with it. I asked if he cared how his waitstaff treats his customers and he replied “that’s what gratuity is for. Take it out of her tip”. He offered a $25 gift card for the arcade, which we declined asking if he could just take that off the bill instead, He said “i don’t see any issue so I’m not taking anything off your bill. If you choose not to pay the bill, I’ll follow you outside, write down your license plate number and call the cops.” He was raising his voice and yelling. We explained to him that we had every intention of paying our over $100 bill but wanted him to understand what was happening in his restaurant and he seemed as though it wasn’t his issue and that we were bothering him! Unfortunately this isn’t the first time this manager has acted this way. I try to give places more than one chance, but this was the last chance for Lefty’s. It is overpriced and obviously not training staff or management how to...

My wife and I are on vacation in Rehoboth. We brought our 3 year old son to play some games and enjoy the atmosphere, but like some others have said, the machines took our money but didn't allow us to start playing. It started with one, and they put money back on our card. Then it happened a second time, and I thought, okay it's a coincidence. We got refunded for that one as well. Then it happened a third time and I was done. I asked for all of our money back, and fortunately they did it without an argument.
We really came for the axe throwing and the bowling but the axe throwing was overpriced and we couldn't get a bowling lane for an hour. We decided to cut our losses and go.
I had high hopes for this place I'm sad that we had this experience here.
Update: additional information to show how crooked this place is: a few days later we went to Zelky's arcade on the boardwalk and found an identical game that functioned differently. The tabletop crossbow fishing game.
At Zelky's when you used the joystick to move the crossbow and released the joystick, the crossbow stayed in its current position. At Lefty's, the crossbow returns to its original resting position all the way to one side. I tested all 4 joysticks at Lefty's and they all functioned that way. At Zelky's, all the crossbows remained in the position the player puts them, allowing the player to maintain their aim without having to constantly "feather" the joystick to hold their aim.
I know no matter where you go these games are skewed to make the arcade money, but Lefty's is so blatantly crooked that i had to warn the...
Read moreI’ve been to Lefty’s quite a few times. It’s a nice facility that can be a lot of fun. A few years ago we went for a laser tag advertised special on their website. When we got there they said they changed the special to a different time but honored the deal. We took this as an honest mistake and didn’t think about it again.
We went back yesterday for my son’s birthday. We went because their website listed all you can play laser tag until 10pm for $12. We live an hour away, but we were ok getting there around 7:15, and having almost three hours to play. But when we arrived there was a sign stating it would end at 9pm. When we asked the front counter employee about it, he just told us the website was no longer correct, no apology, no trying to make it right. My wife tried to tell him that something should be done to make up for the incorrect advertising and he just stared at us blankly.
We talked to another employee who said the policy changed 6 months ago but that the general manager wouldn’t update the website despite many complaints. I don’t know if that’s true but it’s hard not to see this as intentional false advertising if that’s the case.
We only got to play two games total before the cutoff, due to the long lines, poor line management and broken vests. When they couldn’t fully accommodate the next large group they should have had smaller groups go ahead in, just like they do for roller coasters at amusement parks.
Most of the employees were nice and helpful but some of the employees need to learn to be a little more customer friendly. Most importantly the false advertising, intentional or not,...
