Moe's Southwest Grill — Restaurant in Delaware

Now lemme just say, the staff members I’ve seen are extremely nice. But that’s not why I’m leaving this review this review is about the food and the managers. First off, it’s 15 dollars for a burrito and they tax you on the app as well. Living in Delaware that don’t make no sense at all but whatever, its usually not a lot. The quality of the food tho is abysmal. The he food it always usually cold, and never tastes good. I started going around 2021 and since then, it’s just gone downhill. But my real reason for this review is the management. I called a week ago because I had an issue with an order where I ordered 2 of the same burritos. I picked it up and drove about an hour home. I picked up at 7:45 and they closed at 8. I got home around 8:30 - 8:45 and checked my food. I only had 1 burrito and it wasn’t what I ordered so I assume they just put my name on the wrong order. No biggie. I called the next morning and immediately was given an attitude by the “manager”. He asked if I called last night to which I explained how far I live. He copped an even bigger attitude saying they were there until 9:30 last night as if it would have done anything. He took my information and said I’d get an email from the GM. Never got an email so I contacted support. Mind you I just wanted a refund. They told me it was up to the store’s discretion and they pass the message onto him. He finally sends me an email 2 days later offering a free burrtio in my app for 7 days. I dont wanna go back so I said I dont want that, just a refund. He then ignored me again so I called support and they got him to contact me again. He then doesn’t listen to anyone and extends the coupon for 30 days. These people who run this store are extremely disrespectful for no reason and I am never returning...

This place used to be good but has gone downhill in the past couple of years. I am usually very reluctant to give a 1 star review but I feel others should be very wary about ordering from this place.

The sanitation at this particular location was awful. I had one guy making my burrito and he was clearly sick with a cold or some other ailment causing a running nose. I literally watched a long line of snot come from his nose and almost hit my food! He sniffed it back into his nose before that could happen but I had already lost my appetite. Management should not have allowed someone who was sick to be dealing with other peoples food.

After the last situation I did not want to go back but was meeting up with a friend. I decided that I would give them another chance but if I saw anything again I would never come back.

Well I did. There was a young woman who was wiping her face with her gloves and then proceeding to touch the chips. There was also a young man whose gloves were ripped. When I pointed it out to him he acted as if he did not know and changed his gloves. Cool... except he had already touched my food and my friends food and did not offer to remake it. At that point both my friend and I decided to leave. Told them to throw away our food and that we would be dining elsewhere.

TLDR: Please look out for basic sanitation when you eat at this...

This review is not one I wanted to make. Prior to coming in for the first time, I was so excited to eat here and try their byrrito, my fav food. As my food was getting prepared, the tortilla broke and the worker had to get a new one, and I think this is where the fail came in. I sat down to eat my food but as I'm eating it, I started to taste ... mildew washcloth ... I took another bite to figure out what exactly it was, and couldn't place it, then my sister-in-law mentioned the whipping of the machine to warm the tortilla ... yuck ... so I went up to the workers and explain to children, cause that's what it felt like due to them not at all understanding 'mold washcloth taste", told them need to wash/clean your clothes and or throw them away, none of it was registering. Didn't offer a refund, New burrito, nothing, I ended up just asking for a bowl to put the rest of the inside of my burrito in so I can at least eat that. Didn't feel like arguing with these ppl. When I went to eat again, the remants of the old wash cloth taste lingered and I just decided not to NOT eat it. Enjoy the awesome music though.

That's my first experience at Moe's. Terrible, gross, negligent and food safety hazards. Be safe...
