I have ordered from Pete's several times over the past few years and have always been satisfied with the food and delivery service. The Mediterranean Pizza has been a repeat selection of mine, and it has a generous topping of feta, olives, and tomatoes. The only thing I would change about it is to have it cooked a little longer. There are a lot of toppings, and feel not enough time is allowed to bake as long as necessary to evenly heat them all. I have put it back in the oven at home, and it does the trick. I like a crispy crust, not burnt, but not soft or soggy.

In my opinion, the cheesesteaks better be good if it's in the name and game, and they are. They are large and hard to fit in my mouth for a bite, especially if you order extra toppings. I tried the cheese lovers steak but didn't taste or see any extra cheese, in fact hardly any at all. But it was still a good sandwich, and generous enough in size to eat some and save some to enjoy later.

My last visit was my first time dining inside, and google said they close at 8. Which is kind of early. The sign on the door said they close at 7:30, and it was 6:42, I was kind of worried it was too late, that I might rush through my meal as to be done by then. But I figured I had enough time.

You go in and order at the counter, pay, and get a number to put on the table so they can bring the food out when it's done. My total came to about 63 dollars, and I was unsure how to tip in this situation. There was a full tip bucket, but with mostly dollar bills. I tipped ten percent. Dinner for two cost 70. More expensive than I was expecting, but not outrageous for the area.

I rather have a server and table service, I don't really care for the order at counter and sit yourself. I like to be seated comfortably as I peruse the menu, to make sure I know all options before committing. I felt kind of rushed at the counter, and not sure I ordered exactly what I wanted. This is why I only give 4 stars.

At the end of the day, the pizza is second to Louie's to being the best pizza around. I will repeat business here, gladly. From the comfort of my home...

I’m pregnant been working for 10hours and all I wanted was a Caesar salad. They deliver the wrong salad. I call and ask them for the right salad. They said it was going to be a hour which was fine I don’t mind waiting at all but the man on the phone kept arguing with me and made me cry. He kept saying that he repeated the order back and I was there when my boyfriend placed the order he ordered correctly. I asked to speak to the manager and it turns out the man on the phone was the manager. He was so unprofessional and rude. I told him to pick up this wrong salad and I wanted a refund. He made a pregnant woman cry. I will never order from Pete’s Steak Shop again. I’m also letting all family and friends know to spend there money else where. I think Pete’s needs to invest in proper management. We order from here all the time and never had a issue. We also never had to deal with this mean man which is probably why our order got messed up this time because he ā€œthe managerā€ has no idea what he is doing. So now me and my baby are hungry look for something else to eat when it should have been a simple order Caesar salad. How hard is that? They were in the wrong and they handled it so wrong. I work in food service and I would never handle it like that. Customer is always right and he messed up and tried to argue with me a pregnant woman. This isn’t a family friendly place. I urge all families to go else where so you can actually enjoy your mean and your time at the beach. Humble yourself when you make mistakes and don’t take out on your customers. Please get a new manager and I’ll be back. I’m a local by the way. I hope you guys still have business in the winter cause you just lost ours. Thanks for the favor I have gotten food poisoning from here before luckily I wasn’t pregnant...

We spend quite a bit of time in Dewey/Rehoboth beach and had been trying to find a good cheesesteak locally and thanks to Pete's Steak Shop the search is over. We stopped in before heading home from a long weekend and I was immediately intrigued by the Lima Bean soup listed on the menu board. After checking out the rest of the menu hubby and I decided to split the large cheesesteak along with a bowl of the Lima Bean Soup. The food was ready quickly and we quickly realized that we could have gone with the smaller 10" size and still had leftovers - lots of steak and cheese, so much that I needed a fork to eat all the pieces that fell off every time I took a bite. The soup was absolutely delicious so we ended up ordering a couple of bowls to take home with us. We have been back now several times, always getting the soup but have since tried the Pizza Steak as well and just as I surmised, the 10" is still way more than enough for hubby and I. The restaurant has lots of seating both indoors and out and the staff is always very nice and helpful and they even stock pints of Hopkins Creamery Ice Cream for dessert (along with many other options as well). We'll be heading back to the beach in a couple of weeks and are hoping to finally check out their pizzas. Lots of free parking and amazing food at a...

First time visit. I didn't want a lot of bread, so I got the steak and cheese wrap with provolone (ewww - it comes with American cheese? What is that?), mayo on the side. Ample filling ... I was starving and could barely finish it. Onion rings (order 'em well done and remember the salt!) on the side (substitute) was a nice touch. Total was under $17. My only complaint was the style of steak is chopped. To me, that's pre-digested. It tastes fine - I just don't care for it that way. They also have more than a few homemade soups, which is very nice. I didn't try them but maybe I will next time. I'll be back. Looking forward to trying the pizza. Second visit: Small pizza, thin crust, pepperoni, mushroom, extra cheese, well done. Tasty, sweet ... but the crust reminds me of Chuck E Cheese pizza. hmmmm ... that's extra cheese? okeee .... it's certainly not well done ... I had to cook it more at home. Ruben ... bread was a little wet from the kraut but plenty of decent corned beef ... I suspect that this is better eaten on-prem rather than carry out.

We went here for a relaxed family dinner. The menu looked great and there was indoor and outdoor seating, which was nice. We ordered three different types of cheesesteaks, a salad and some fries. My daughter said that the salad was good, and the crinkle fries were really good, but boy were we disappointed with the cheesesteaks. The ten inch size were plenty large and they were served piping hot, but the meat wasn't good. It didn't taste good and it was extra greasy. I eat a lot of cheesesteaks, so maybe I'm a bit critical, but none of us liked our sandwiches enough to finish them, which says something. I should have ordered a stromboli or something like that, but with "steak" in the store name, I expected a better product. And oddly, three of us got bottled Mr. Pibb, but the soda was almost flat. The date on the bottle was Aug 31, over a month away, but for some reason, the drink was almost flat, which was a bit disappointing.

Sub places at the beach are so common, it must be a tough business indeed. I’ll admit I’ve become a bit complacent with the local spot I usually go to though I like trying out different venues just to see what is new. This spot has survived some time and I just haven’t found a convenient time to try it since today and I’m so glad I did. The thing lacking in some steak n’ cheese subs is just simple flavor and here, Pete’s delivers! The bread was flawless, meat very beefy and this was what stood out the most. We both had provolone, and it was abundant. I also requested fried onions, and they were delicious. My only nit to pick is the request for bacon was charged but as close as I looked, it was undetectable.
