This review is for the staff and experience, not the food. It’s a chain so expectations need to be reasonable. Walked in around 3:30pm on a Tuesday. In the restaurant it wasn’t busy but the drive thru was. I could hear the staff discussing food quantities and figuring out timing and how much to cook next to fill the orders they had. I had to do a family sized order of which I was trying to figure out the details in the moment. I was greeted by the cashier for assistance but asked for a moment to finalize my order. I asked about larger quantities of chicken and “Sam” (whom I think it’s the owner) told me they could do pretty much any amount and figure it out. Another employee (I believe her son) and the cashier asked how many pieces I would need so they could prepare. They were patient while I figured it out. Eventually I gave them my order. Sam asked me about sauce for some tenders I ordered. I had no idea and had to find out but she was sweet and said not to worry and just let her know when I’m ready. She was making sure to ask me about all the options for my order to make sure everything was right. As I waited I watched as a customer (that seemed to be a regular) came in and was talking with Sam. They made friendly small talk and it was nice to see the staff and customers being cordial, laughing, and conversing. Then another group of customers came in and Sam was making jokes with them and everyone was laughing. It was a nice warm and friendly atmosphere. Her son informed me they were 5 pieces short of what I needed. I could not compromise on the order so I told them so. He told me he would give me a fresh batch of chicken if I could wait. I wasn’t in a hurry so I accepted. Wait times are to be expected for food like this. Albeit I wasn’t in a hurry but I did not feel like I was waiting an unreasonable time. Before I knew it the food was ready. I double checked what I ordered and found a mistake. I let them know and they fixed it immediately. No harm no foul. The small local family business (of course it is a corporate chain) feel was appreciated. Just for the experience the staff created, I...
Read moreAllow me to explain my experience with this Popeye's. My girlfriend had ordered a meal for us and her children off my card. When I arrived at the Popeye's the attendant who answered the drive through asked what I wanted and I stated I was here for a mobile order. I then TRIED to add two drinks to my order and mid way through the sentence the attendant CLOSED THE GLASS DOOR on the drive through and walked away, later another gentleman walked to the slider and asked what I was here for I restated that I was here for a mobile order and when I tried to explain I would want to add drinks to my order HE CLOSED THE GLASS WINDOW and walked away before I could add the drinks. Getting annoyed I parked my car and walked inside placing the order for the additional drinks. I drove back to my girlfriends apartment where I came to realize that MOST OF THE ORDER WAS WRONG OR INCOMPLETE. We were missing three drinks that came with the meals (not the ones I ordered separately) , received 2/3 cookies, and missing two sides. I drove back to state what I was missing and they stated that I couldn't revive the missing items without the order which the kids were already enjoying since they were hungry. I just ended up paying for the missing items and driving back home. Only then the next day I realized that the casheer had took my card leaving me stranded the entire morning until they opened the next day . I WILL NOT BE COMING TO THIS LOCATION AGAIN AND WARN OTHERS TO AVOID...
Read moreI will never again go to the Rehoboth Beach Popeyes! I haven't been to this location in many years because the last time we were here, they were out of CHICKEN! I thought why not lets give them a chance again. After all, everyone deserves a second chance. We ordered wings, and chicken sandwich combo meals. When I get to the drive thru I am told "we do not do garlic parmesan anymore." I substituted for the Sweet N Spicy wings. The man at the window was kind and generous. In fact, everyone I interacted with was professional and friendly. However when I arrived home, I was appauled by the food. First off, we did not get our biscuits. Second, the wings were not even tossed in the sauce. The sauce was like a puddle of water under the wings. Third, no dipping sauce for the wings was given. Fourth, no utenislls for the red beans and rice and mac were provided. Fifth, no napkins and lastly, one of the ghost pepper sandwiches was clearly not that but the classic one instead. I live near the Millsboro location and will continue to go to that one because I have never had any issues to this magnatitude with them. I was only in Rehoboth for work. While I understand staffing issues and other business related issues, all of the issues I stated are in excusable. Something must be done to avoid anymore...
