Waffle House — Restaurant in Delaware

On "Saturday, 10th March 2018," my very first visit to "The Waffle House" (for a carryout order), the service was EXTREMELY poor with regard to the performance of the waitress. However, the grill cook was courteous and demonstrated good customer service, and preparing my food items precisely as I requested ("egg fried hard, home fried potatoes with onions"). In fact, after having to wait over 20 minutes before my order was ever taken, the gentleman, who was the grill cook, noticed me waiting and began taking my order (which totalled "$11.49.") The restaurant only had ONE table occupied (with those customers eating) when I entered the establishment (at 4:55 p.m.). By the time the grill cook accepted my order, two additional sets of customers had entered the restaurant and the, lone, waitress conversed with the people at both of these additional tables, and inquired about whether or not they were ready to order. Upon arriving home to Harrington with my food, I became aware that the bacon which I requested to accompany my order, was OMITTED from the items in my order. I attribute the error of the ommitted bacon, to the waitress on duty because it was only after the grill cook began taking my order, that she finally came to take over what he had already started. I reiterated to her, at least twice, that I wanted BACON to be included in my order regardless of any additional cost that I may be charged. Obviously, I was quite perturbed about the Absence of BACON in my order. After all who wants waffles WITHOUT bacon?? Unless "The Waffle House" intends to extend to me some sort of, small, complimentary gesture for my inconvenience, I will NOT be a patron of their restaurant...

My experience at this waffle house has been horrible, not only do they get my order wrong most of the time, but they also never answer the phone when I call, i even called several times in a row..I understand that it gets busy there, however with all the people working there you would think that someone could pick up the phone. Also when the order is finished and I get home, I find that there were no ketchup packets included or plastic utensils...I'm sorry, but I was under the impression that when its a to go order that that was all included..Also that when you call a business that they answer to take your order, also when they repeat the order back to you, that they would actually get it right. Per example, one time I ordered a bacon burger from them, and it wasn't even on a bun, but white bread normally used for a BLT....Also the only time they picked up the phone for me, they still got my order screwed...I get there, and no one seemed to know what I was talking about, and began placing a new order for me...which was more expensive that it should've been...Also the coffee there is really watered down, and horrible...I don't think I will be returning...by the way, I would buy from here a lot (I just put up with all the crap, hoping they would eventually get it right, but they never did) I will...
