Read moreI went in recently to sell something and was shocked when they asked for a receipt. It’s a pawn shop—the whole point is they buy items without retail receipts. I understand policies, but the way it was handled was completely rude and condescending.
This isn’t my first bad experience here. About a year ago, I tried to pawn a 14k white gold sapphire ring with a sapphire about 1.5 carats. The same young blonde woman offered me $10—an insulting lowball.
On top of that, their prices are ridiculously close to retail, and they don’t like to cut deals. It’s a pawn shop, for God’s sake.
