A rating for health inspection, which is hard to get when you have a buffet.
This is a little out of the way, but I am WOWed.
I saw the sign for 11.99 buffet with 30 items to choose from. So, I obviously thought, probably garbage, but for the price, I'll try it.
I walked in and was immediately greeted by the host. He seated me right away, brought me water, and kept it flowing.
Key things I loved right off the bat. Naan and Garlic Naan are served as part of the meal. Chai is also served as part of the meal.
At most places they will give you water, but no other options unless the price has gone up for a weekend style buffet. Also most places will give you Naan but if you want garlic it costs extra.
So, we were already off to a better than 2 star rating.
Now the buffet spread. Everything was clearly labeled.
One other thing I liked is they kept the vegetarian dishes on one side and the meat dishes on the other, as to not mingle the foods by accident. My friend had a hay day about that one time we went to go eat.
I tried a little of everything.
I have to say the only thong I wasn't super impressed by was the chicken curry rice option. The flavor was a little on the bland side and it was a bit oily.
Otherwise everything was fantastic.
Top Dishes:
The Eggplant and the Chiken Tiki Masala
Actually I'll say the Chicken Tiki was fantastic. Most places use mostly milk, yogurt, water, with spices and a little sugar to make this happen and you can tell its liquidy instead of thick and rich.
This was yogurt all the way with a hint of milk to make it slightly less thick. The seasoning on the chicken with the rich creamy sauce come into your mouth and sets off those feel good neurons which make you say, "More please!".
There are 4 types of dessert and don't miss the orange carrot puree one lingering in the back, because it is quite good.
I'd expect a buffet like this to be around $16.99 or higher. Exceptional quality and service.
If the map says 3 miles away... drive...
Read moreI came to this restaurant to try the buffet. I love Indian food in general. Although I know that many are not top tier in terms of quality chicken and lamb dishes. I tried this place twice and each time the food quality was worse. The tandoori was burnt at 12 noon. Which tells me its left over from the day before and they burned it while pre heating it and it tasted like it. When I called to explain why I was going to yelp them. I was told I come back in and try the buffet again without charge. Upon my return, they told me the manager who offered me a free buffet was no longer there 2 days later. Suffice to say. This was bad idea. From the dirty sticky floors and its carpet??? I didn't really notice until I came back the second time. My feet were sticking every step I took. Just gross. I thought if they wont clean their floor what else are they not cleaning. Meaning if the food was any indication this place is a no go. Though I was still willing to give them another try. The buffet is basic, no lamb vindaloo, no lamb curry, no spinach paneer. The best thing was the Naan. The issue with many Indian food restaurants is they are just trying to get by and they cut lots of corners to make a buck; while raising prices and changing nothing. I'll say this they are cheap for a reason. I would say if you are starving and you want a lot of inedible food. You have the right place. For the record had they offered the food like they said the would and if would have been good. I would have added that in my review and quite possibly changed my review. Try it out and see if I'm not right. But I would just pass on it, too many places to eat to deal with less than average food in a dirty...
Read moreI booked the Delhi palace banquet hall for my mehndi wedding event. Additionally, my family and I had to book the venue on short notice (about 10 days before) the scheduled mehndi day due to unexpected complications and difficulties with the previous venue we had booked. Given the context of the situation, the Delhi palace owner was very accommodating, kind and considerate. It was a life saver to find a venue that fit our needs on such short notice after the previous venue caused last minute complications. He was very accommodating of any requests I had for an all girls mehndi (such as privacy, female servers for the event, and flexibility on decorating). Additionally, the food was able to be halal provided and quite tasty. Our guests loved the mehndi event and really appreciated how comfortable they felt attending the all girls mehndi. I highly recommend this venue because of how professional and accommodating the owner was, the food was tasty, and the venue was clean and looked beautiful with the decor....
