I want to start the review out by saying that I was a huge outback steakhouse supporter. I have been going here for over 15 yrs and it was my go to when I needed something quick and fulfilling. When writing this review I am directing it at this particular location only and I hope the others are not like this one. I initially ordered a delivery order from this location and waited two hours. Did not receive a call, text, or any type of contact from the delivery driver. I called in twice to check on my order and the first time I was told the delivery driver was 5 minutes away... 30 minutes later I called again and was told that the delivery driver said he delivered my food, left it at my door, and was already back at the restaurant. This had me upset because there was nothing at my door and obviously my food had not been delivered to the correct address. Once I expressed that I did not receive my food, the manager, Gwen was very nonchalant at the time and pretty much all she had to offer was a refund for the food that I did not receive but nothing for the huge inconvenience that it caused. Not only did I not receive my food and but it was too late to order from anywhere else because everything else had closed. Gwen then offered tuck away credits towards food at their location which I accepted. I picked it up and asked Gwen if I am able to purchase alcohol with this credit and she told me yes if I come back to this same location. Fast forward to the day that I was going to the restaurant, I called for Gwen ahead of time but she was not there that day. I spoke with another manager who advised that alcohol would not be honored with the credits that I received. That is fine except for the fact that I was told differently, I specifically asked this question because I knew this would happen.
Long story short I went to this location on yesterday to eat in and after all of that hassle the food quality was piss poor. I ordered an appetizer, two entrees, a dessert, and four drinks. only things that were good were the four drinks and the steak dip appetizer. the rest of the food was TERRIBLE. the lobster tasted like dirty water. no exaggeration. the salad did not taste fresh. the ice cream tasted freezer burnt. I just don't understand how the entire meal tasted so horrible. I did not bother to complain, I used the credits I received and payed the rest out of pocket, plus tip. The waitress has nothing to do with my review because she was nice but the food and the previous encounters were not it. On January 15, 2025, I visited Outback Steakhouse and used their table terminal to pay my bill. During the checkout process, the terminal froze, but I received a notification on my phone that the $100 ticket had been charged to my card. I immediately informed the manager, Akira, who spent quite a long time trying to figure out the issue while we waited at the table. After that, she came back and insisted the charge had not processed and told me I needed to pay again, stating that my money was "probably on the way back to me." She gave me her business card and assured me that if both charges came through, I could call her, and she would refund the double charge. Reluctantly, I made another payment for the ticket, including a second tip.
I later confirmed that both charges had posted to my account, so I reached out to the restaurant on January 17, 2025. I was told Akira was unavailable and would call me back, but I never received a follow-up.
I contacted the restaurant again the next morning and spoke with Akira, who said she needed to wait for another manager to process the refund and she would be in at noon. Despite her promise to call back, I received no response. Around 8:30 that evening, I followed up again, only to be told that Akira was busy, and another manager, Candace, spoke to me. Candace told me that a different manager—who allegedly had the “necessary codes” for refunds—wouldn’t be available until Sunday, and that I would be contacted.
As of Sunday, January 19, 2025, 6:46 PM, I still have not been contacted by anyone at the restaurant.
The lack of resolution, accountability, and communication from Outback Steakhouse has been incredibly frustrating. Waiting quite a long time just to be told I needed to pay again and then dealing with repeated misinformation and unprofessionalism is unacceptable. While mistakes can happen, this situation has been handled extremely poorly. I would strongly urge management to improve their training and responsiveness to customer issues.

Read moreHad a take out order the other day. Half portion ribs were good but the full portion was horrible. Either the meat was bad or cooked from frozen. The steak knife couldnt cut it. My poor husband tried to eat but it was impossible so it went in the garbage. I should have taken a pic & post it w/this review but i was too upset, i didnt think of it. Of course, we couldnt send it back or get another one bcuz it was a take out & i wasnt going back to Del Ray from Boca to return it in the evening. We will not do any take outs from Outback at Del Ray any more. What a shame & a rip off. We cant go & sit inside either bcuz it always feels dirty inside the restaurant. That was the reason we switched to take out. So bye bye Outback. We r done w/u! In our previous visit we had terrible service at the bar. Their take out service is much better. The top of the bar was a mess. They just removed the dirty dishes, glasses n etc & didnt even wipe. Then I got my drink n placed my order. Rolled napkin w/fork n knife was thrown somewhere in my direction. Then food came, no extra plate for the bones. I found a small paper napkin, laid it on the bar n started to put the bones on it. Noone cared, didnt even ring a bell. Noone asked, how is it, do u need anything else, how about desert, nada. I finished, asked for the check, paid n left. Generally, food at Outback is OK. I have gone to many different Outbacks in many different states n cities. Mostly customer service is better too, i guess this time the 2 guys at the bar were lousy employees.
