I made the mistake of visiting this location yesterday because it was convenient. The store is cluttered, disorganized and not as clean as most of the other stores. I have been a Target shopper for many years and usually love my trips to the store. My friend and I were in the checkout lines with over 44 people in line and it was absolutely chaotic. I am really patient and was not in a rush but there was only two registers open and there was group of people in a large mass near self check out and it was difficult to decipher who was in what line. At least 4 employees were nearby and did absolutely nothing to help and pretended to be busy restocking etc. I entered a lane with the light on indicating it was open when a tall man in another lane with the light off named David yelled at me that he was closed and the line with the light on was closed also. In the open lane the other employee continued to help the three people in his line very pleasantly. I stepped back into the mass of self service then David proceeded to help two other customers that were clearly behind me while other customers were served in the open lane. At this point David started yelling at elderly customers that were complaining about the situation and disorganization and I started laughing. David became enraged and started yelling at me that I can “leave the store” . We felt scared at this point and threatened. It was completely unacceptable and finally a woman took the poor old lady in front of me and helped her. I was in shock but felt physically not safe in the store after this but after almost 30 minutes at this place decided to breathe and purchase my 4 items in self check out where to register’s weren’t available due to lack of attention from the burn out rude employees. My friend said she had never seen anything like this. I know retail is difficult and I have a great deal of compassion for people who work with the public but no one should ever feel threatened during a trip to Target . This store has to do better and “David” clearly needs a day off to rest, customer service training and sensitivity training. Horrible experience. The store at Boynton and Congress is way busier, better managed, has a better selection and kind helpful employees that ensure a wonderful shopping experience. Definitely worth the 5 mile drive to...
Read moreMy cart was full of items, probably totaling around $500, when I went to use the self-checkout. I was stopped by an older woman employee who rudely told me, with a scowl on her face, “ten items or fewer.” This lady is always there and always always looks angry. There was no one behind me in line, yet every self-checkout station now has the ten items or less restriction.
No big deal, I’ll go to another cashier. But at this location, they only ever have one cashier open, and the line has at least 20 people waiting. Meanwhile, 10 other lanes were completely closed, with no cashiers in sight. Employees are always standing around, doing nothing. My daughter was getting restless, and with no end to the wait in sight, I grabbed the three items she wanted and checked out, abandoning the rest of my $500 cart.
It’s clear the employees here don’t care about the customers or the store making money. I guess this is the new America….The lack of help, combined with the rude attitude, was appalling. This Target location is two minutes from my house, but I’ll go out of my way to shop elsewhere...
Read moreThis Target is so severely understaffed and has been for a long time.
This morning, I placed an online order to avoid the weekend crowds, and do a quick drive up pickup. I clicked on the “on my way” button on the Target app, and headed over. When I arrived, around 2:00, I waited…and waited…and waited. There were a ton of shoppers going in and out of the store, so I figured it was just very busy. After about 25m, another customer in a drive up pickup spot who had been there longer than me headed into the store. I followed suit. It had been nearly half an hour.
When I walked through the door I was met with a customer service line that was to the door! Looking around, the self checkout line seemed to have no end, and the poor few hardworking employees they did have were scrambling to fufill orders.
Come to find out, the drive up was down (no one knew because there was no notification on the app, so good thing we walked in).
All of this to give credit to the hardworking employees of Target, and if anyone is looking for work, they’re hiring (or at least they...
