Normally when I go to this spot I have a very pleasant time. The service is phenomenal and everything else follows suit. This past weekend, I went March 23rd, not realizing it one of their busiest days of the month by myself.
When I walked in a was greeted by one of the works. She told me to have a seat at one of the tables to the far right side of the restaurant. Shortly, after sitting there for maybe 5 minutes a lady walks up to me and asks me “Did I seat myself?” My reply to her was “no.” She asked me “Who told you you could sit here.” The I looked around and I did not see the lady who sat in, because she was in the back filling orders. So the lady in turns tells me, “I need to get up and go get on the list because there were people waiting.” I asked her if that was the case why did the young lady just sit me here. Then continued to ask me who sat me there. Again, I do not know! One you all do not give your names nor wear name tags for me to even know who you are. My response to her was “you should be telling me. I don’t work here. As I have described the person to you.” She then walks off and goes to the back and talks to the young lady that sat me at the table. Then come back to tell me I need to get on the waitlist. Even though I had been there before about 2-3 other groups checked in. Which is not exceptional customer service!
I join the waitlist and within 2 minutes I get a text message that the table is ready. I walk in the lady tells me where to sit. I get to the table there weren’t any napkins on the table. My waiter, Ben/Benjamin, walks over and takes my order provided me with drinks. Shortly afterwards, my food comes out. I do not have a bucket, I don’t have any napkins, and I don’t have a cracker to open the claw on the snow crab with.
I had to stop someone who was waiting another table to get a bucket. Still never received the crackers. I had to ask the front counter whose response to me was, “Oh we don’t have any up here you need to ask your server.” I told her I don’t know where my server is, so the other lady on side of her offered my the plastic set which I gladly appreciated. Again, I still do not have a napkins and I haven’t seen my server since he took my order.
Finally, when I got ready to leave I didn’t have a check. I had to ask the ladies at the front counter and proceeded to pay with Apple Pay.
I frequent this location passing up locations in Baton Rouge at least once a week and I have never received such terrible service. Whomever reads of the reviews for this location I would like to be contacted about my experience given this is unacceptable. I understand it was peak season for this month, however, it does not excuse the horrible service I received on this particular...
Read moreThe moment our party of 12 walked in the door, we had problems. We were first told there would be an hour wait. When another server offered a different solution, the manager said no. When we offered a different solution, the manager also told us no. My mother in law went to the bathroom, which was not very clean. When we finally got to the table that they put together, the original server we were supposed to get got switched. The second server we had couldn't keep any of the orders straight. We then ordered our food. Our drinks were never refilled properly. The server had to ask if we needed refills, instead of anticipating the refills. 8 of our guests had the boil in a bag. The server could not remember nor could she read the order to know who to give what platter. Upon opening the bags, all of them had no potatoes. They brought some out unseasoned. The 2 guest that got the grilled food was cool. It had been left sitting while the other food was being prepared. The guest that got the fried shrimp was very rubbery and overcooked. We then asked for extra silverware, which was never provided. My husband was unable to finish his food because it was too salty and over seasoned. When we got the checked the gratuity was already added since it was a big party. (18%) When we were finished, we then had to go up to the register to pay. When I paid in cash, the manager asked if I wanted my change. I told her yes since there was already gratuity added to my bill. 2 bills in my party was also mixed up. I am from out of town (south Carolina) and I have never been treated this poorly. We also were eating her because it was my niece's sweet 16 birthday. Thank you for your time. I hope in the future you can train your...
Read moreI ordered my usual order (seafood platter) and had it door dashed for my 3 children and I as I couldn’t make it to pick it up. I called first to make sure they would substitute the blue crab if I put it in the notes, the lady told me yes. I asked her what all would be in it, as seafood is season, she named off everything and included mussels. Our order was delivered, mind you I get THE SAME THING every time because it feeds all of us and sometimes have leftovers. The first thing I noticed is no mussels, then the blue crabs where there, then as I’m looking it was not near enough food to feed 3 of us much less 4. My receipt read exactly what I ordered. So I called and asked to speak to the manager, they basically made me feel like I was lying and she told me the general manager would call me…. No one ever called. Very very disappointing considering how often I spend my hard earned money there. I...
