Geisha, Sushi With a Flair - Denham Springs — Restaurant in Denham Springs

I've ordered Geisha many times, since the number of decent sushi places in the Denham area is limited. However, the food is hit or miss, even when ordering the same items. I typically order my family dinner and always include a few favorite rolls, and a few new rolls. I tried to contact them with my honest review via their website, but but no response. My last experience with Geisha I ordered a couple rolls I ordered in the past that I liked, and the Shrimp Hawaiian Fried Rice, as I have ordered before because it was good the previous time. This time, THE FOOD WAS AWFUL! Completely inedible. The shrimp on the rice tasted like --- the only way I can describe it --- a refrigerator. Have you ever put food in the refrigerator uncovered, left it for a few days, and then tried again? That's what it tasted like. The whole dish tasted like it had been dropped on the floor, swept up, and put on the plate again. Chewy, tart?, and just sour. I hoped it was simply an anomaly, but unfortunately the sushi roll tasted like it was also made a few days prior, and then served to me. I threw everything in the garbage can, sent them an email to make them aware, and Geisha management didn't have the courtesy to reply. That, or they don't read their honest feedback. 1st off I am very disappointed in the fact that they don't take credit cards over the phone I understand the fraudulent act but since this place has been opened I'm always called in my order with my credit card.. 2nd of all when I walked in no one greeted me or my coworker gave the name did not speak to us once!! 3rd of all After the receipt was signed nothing was said about the food was placed on the counter She didn't handed to us or say anything just pushed it towards us. Food is actually delicious, what's terrible is the service. We got there approximately 20 minutes before closing time and they told us the store was closing. We said what do you mean it's closing? It closes at 2:00 it's 1:40? They then told us it was closing in 3 minutes and we could not eat. We went around the block to takumi hibachi sushi and bar. We were seated, treated kindly, treated like they wanted our business. Interestingly enough we saw two other families that had been kicked out of geisha sushi as well. We conversed exchanged their stories all agreed that they did not like the service there and we're eating at takumi's for just that reason.
