My daughter and I visited this establishment a few times. The first time the food was overly salty and cold when served. They were not at all busy, in fact the place was almost empty so there was no excuse for the food to be cold. That night, my daughter and I both felt sick. Be ware, I wonder how old the food was they served us? I was so disappointed. We tried again a few weeks later. This time I specified how I wanted my food served. The service workers in the Denham Branch must watch too many movies about fancy restaurants. To Zea management, your restaurant is not an elegant fancy restaurant like Brennon's or Court of Two Sisters so stop being snobbish. Your restaurant doesn't deserve to feel that way nor treat anyone as such. Your staff would do well to remember they are in the Service Industry. Are there "how to be kind to clientele" classes your company offers ? Your service workers would do well to be more polite to customers. People going to your restaurant, paying for their food shouldn't be disrespected if they ask for their food a certain way . Can't say I'll ever go there again nor recommend to anyone. In fact, Texas Roadhouse, next door to Zea's, was packed with a line waiting to get inside, while yours was virtually empty of customers. This should tell you something about your food and service. I cannot...
Read moreVery disappointed with today's service. All started with waiting for a table. We were told 20 minutes and gave our number and sat outside in our car since inside was full. 50+ minutes later no call, my husband finally went in and was told we called you twice over 30 minutes ago. Never received a phone call. Should we have checked sooner sure, but there were quite a few people waiting when we arrived. By the time we got seated they weren't very busy. Next our server didn't come to our table, another noticed we hadn't been helped yet and took our order. A separate server brought our drinks. Only after about 15-20 minutes did our server actually come to the table telling us our food order was in. I had direct view of the food prep area and saw when my salad was finished. It sat for over 7 minutes (chicken getting cold), before they finally finished the paninis that we ordered were finished. The fries with the paninis sat for about 5 minutes in the pick up window too. My zeasar salad barely had dressing on it and the romaine was wilted from sitting with previously hot chicken on it. I did not eat but a few bites of the salad. The paninis my family had were fine. Normally service is good and food delicious, but the Denham Springs location completely missed...
Read moreThe most disappointed I have ever been in a restaurant. I used to have a 5 star from 2 tears ago. I just changed it to this one. New entitled server in the bar harassed me and acted like he owned the place. The same event that happened two weeks before but I figured I would give him another chance when I saw him this time to see if he acted differently because everyone can have a bad day.
Also, I have been a frequent patron of this Zea since it opened and usually frequent at least three times a week. For the past few years, i purchased hundreds of dollars worth of their gift cards at Christmas.
When I had to speak to the manager, the mgr. told me that the know it all employee was correct. When I again explained myself, he told me I was not harassed.
Before these two run-ins with Mr know-it-all, I never experienced any sort of bad service at this restaurant. With employees like him, I can assure you they won't be busy for long.
I then told the manager that this was my last visit to the establishment if he could not cure this simple problem. No attempt was even made.
My son and I then went to walk-ons. From this point forward, when I stop at Juban Crossing, it will either be at Walk-On's or Texas Roadhouse. And I'll tell everyone I know to...
