Pedros Tacos & Tequila Bar — Restaurant in Louisiana

Pay attention to the name. This restaurant offers a large variety of Mexican dishes but their specialty is in fact, tacos. The Street Style Tacos are great! Lots of different styles. And of course, the regular Tacos are great as well.

It’s good to experiment and try different things. You won’t be disappointed in this place.

The atmosphere is VERY unique and modern. It almost feels like a Palace inside.

The Lounge area has large windows nearby and there’s a nice large patio for smokers are people who enjoy dining outside when the weather is good.

I’ve tried several cocktails there. My personal litmus test is a Moscow Mule. They nailed it. Complete with Ginger Beer, Lime and Mint Leaves.

I also tried their Bloody Mary Cocktails. Another test no two are the same and a lot of bartenders. Just don’t simply know how to do it the proper way. Again, they made it perfectly.

In the Louisiana we seem to have more than our fair share of Mexican restaurants, but they are not the same each, and everyone is different. I would have to say that Pedros tacos a Tequila Bar is a cut above most all the rest.

IMO Sarita’s Mexican Grill and Pedro’s Tacos & Tequila Bar are neck to neck. One not necessarily better than the other. They’re both different. Each has their own style but...

Me and my husband have been waiting for this place!!!!! We finally went today with a friend and our son ...omg food is AMAZING! but...we ordered a pitcher of the margarita very weak like veryyyyy weak...so after the first one we ordered another one food came out wasn't able to finish the pitcher asked to go to the patio to finish...they said here yall can sit here so we did I was stung by a bee cause the table had a nest in it and chased me before I knew about the nest I moved told the waitress and she was like yes I see a nest I'm sorry never asked if I was ok or anything...I said might wanna take care of that before someone gets hurt a hour later no manager or employee checked on me or the nest...hands down great food not so good drinks (to be a tequila bar) and no care if u die ...if my husband would have been in my spot instead of putting food in the car a ambulance would have been called! ..not very professional...but again the food is freaking amazing ill be ordering instead of...

Always check the menu before going somewhere new. It's my restaurant golden rule that I didn't follow because of all the great things I've heard from friends. Complete let down to my companion and me.

Maybe I'm just ignorant to how things are named. The name was misleading for me. I expected TACOS to be a main item, not a three/four choice option. The menu is overwhelming and not well mapped out. We decided on the Fajitas for Two and the portions for the side set ups were at the bare minimum. The food itself was bland and overcooked. When the food came out almost as soon as we ordered, that wasn't a good sign. We tried to take into account this was a Friday night and they were prepared to be busy, completely understandable, yet we would have gladly waited for fresh food.

I'm hoping we just went on an off night yet it was enough of a disappointment to never return.
