The gumbo did not taste like gumbo it tasted like a soup, no spice. The Jambalaya was full of meat, but does not taste anthing like Louisiana food. I would not recommend if your used to real Louisiana Gumbo and Jambalaya with the spicy and rich flavors. Go somewhere else. Unless they were just having a off day. I hardly touched my food. The corn tasted like it came from a can and had very little seasoning. My husband will usually eat anything and he didn't like his food. Jambalaya he ate some of rice and then picked out the meat.

The food will definitely fill you up. The staff is nice. They give you a good portion sized meal. Unfortunately The food didn't have a lot of flavor. it didn't taste bad it just didn't have any wow factor. It was more of an okay it'll do kind of meal. My corn had more flavor than my jambalaya

The staff was kind and knowledgeable. Each of the dishes was lightly spiced if it all. I've had better jambalaya as well as red rice and beans at other places in Louisiana. This version seemed to me made for the foreign masses.

Decent jambalaya plate. The smoked sausage was mushy and bland but the chicken was good. Everyone's tastes and expectations are different so that could be why the rice was bland; I had to put Tabasco on it to get it to taste better. The side of macaroni and cheese was very tasty and may have been the best food I ate. The side of potato salad was standard, nothing earth-shattteringly good or bad about it. The roll that came with the plate was a bit stale on the outside as if it had been sitting out for a few hours. It was still soft inside, but they really should have served a pat of butter with it; it would have made a saving difference. The chicken and sausage gumbo was better, though again I found smoked sausage mushy and bland. The roux could have been darker to suit my taste, but it was still good as was the chicken in the gumbo. As far as atmoshere, it is just tables with a couple of TVs playing, nothing special. The waiter behind the counter as well as the server were both congenial and helpful. I would go back to Pot & Paddle if I am in that neighborhood again. I can say I found the food much better than its competitor "The Jambalaya Shoppe". I tried the one in Prairieville and it was so bad I...

So dissatisfied with this gumbo !!! It was so watered down, it was like broth. The few pieces of chicken that was in it, I think it was 3, had no flavor and left a chalky feel in my mouth. The 2 pieces of sausage were gross and had a mushy feel to them when chewed. There was no okra . This was a waste of six dollars down the garbage disposal .Potato salad tasted like mashed potatoes with mayonnaise mixed in , no pickles, no boiled eggs, no nothing ! This is not the first time we have bought from them, and they used to be good when they first opened, but no more . As long as they serve waterd down bottom of the pot gumbo , I...

I don't see how this place is still in business. Tried it twice thinking it got better. Got a to go order yesterday and got home and threw it in the garbage. Potato salad was un recognizable and un ediable. Gumbo was nothing but grease and not roux also un ediable. Jambalaya was completely dry and no flavor also un ediable. White beans were way too saltly and tasted like they came from a generic can with nothing added. Ordered an extra side salad for 2.00 and was only 2 fork bites which was a complete rip off. Roll was only good thing. Will never go there again and wasted 16 plus dollars on a meal not fit...
