Don Chiquito's Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Denton

The skinny: This place was a nice surprise and surpassed every expectation my partner and I had coming here. Don Chiquito's is totally worth a visit! But could use a little touch-up.

The not-so-skinny: Immediately what deserves to be mentioned is the good attitude and good food. Don Chiquito's is family owned and has the friendly attitude and inviting feeling that you associate with that. Don Chiquito's also makes some good food! It was a decent wait but quality is something that most often asks for time. The Enchiladas Suizas was fantastic with just enough spice to make you feel that sweet heat. The Comaronillas and the Flautes were also fantastic!

The only real catch though, as another review stated the place itself could use a little TLC. Our environments effect our appetite and the walls and ceiling could use a touch up as well as a touch-up to the lighting but it really isn't that big of a deal. Fresh paint and fixing the lighting alone would make the interior substantially better Don Chiquito's is friendly and makes some of the best, most "real" Mexican food I've had in Denton. I love this restaurant it is my new go to place for delicious authentic Mexican food! I was starving one night back in February when it was really cold and I was craving chicken mole so bad! I haven’t found very many authentic Mexican restaurants in Denton that make Chicken Mole. So I was so excited when I came across Don Chiquitos! They have the best Chicken Mole I have ever had! It was so full of flavor and I also got so full!

They give you really big portion sizes! It’s also really affordable a lot more affordable than most restaurants! I have also tried their Al pastor tacos and they are amazing! Im already addicted to Don Chiquitos food and the cheap prices too! This is my new go to authentic Mexican restaurant...

Everything was absolutely fantastic, by far my new favorite mexican restaurant and in my opinion, the best in Denton.

We ordered the chicken/beef fajitas and the meat was incredibly tender and extremely flavorful. My girlfriend got the flautas and they were cooked perfectly, extremely cripsy and with a healthy amount of toppings.
