Came here with the man at around 3:30pm craving an omelette. Haven’t been to IHOP in years and was pleasantly surprised by the updated menu and was glad there was only one other couple in the place so we could get a quick meal. Service however was one of the worst I’ve ever experienced at any restaurant. The hostess/server was rude when I asked for silverware. Literally told me, “don’t you see I’m trying to hunt some down” as she walked by. Had to wait another 10 mins for her to come back again because the silverware set she provided in a napkin didn’t have a teaspoon and I was still waiting to be able to stir my coffee and creamer which was now cold. When I asked her for a teaspoon she actually just stared at me then asked me what a teaspoon was. When I told her it was a small spoon, she told me to just use my boyfriend’s because there was a shortage of teaspoons everywhere!!!
She was even more rude when my boyfriend told her he didn’t want onions in his omelette cause of an allergy, he repeated it again and she said, “I heard you the first time and I’ll go over there and repeat it to the cook for you.” I thought how she treated us was bad but she was worse to other customers. A group of college students came in and walked towards a table because the waiting area was empty with nobody to greet guests. She literally told them to go back out because they had to wait to be seated. Then she had them wait out there for 15 minutes for no reason other than a power trip. Because she finally escorted them right back to the same table not having done anything to prep the table for them.
It’s disgraceful to see a young lady be so obnoxiously rude to paying customers. She has no business working with the general public and should be fired immediately. There has to be someone out there seeking employment that would do a better job even with no prior experience. Because it doesn’t take much to be polite to people, customers or not, especially when they are being polite to you...
Read moreI've been to this location three times in person. I have also tried to order from a delivery app a handful of times after once many other places are closed.
The first time we went, super busy. Attentive waiter. Made time to at least touch base with us if he wasn't able to stop by for full attention. It was fine.
The second time myself and some friends were waiting for a brunch movie to start over at The Alamo. We went to IHOP to grab coffees beforehand and chat. It was busy, but we are still paying customers and we were planning on tipping as if we did eat. We had our original coffee and in the rest of the time there the waitress wouldn't stop at the table for refills or ask if we were okay. We ended up having to go to the front to ask for the check. Then proceeded to wait longer for the waitress to come over and give us attitude. We weren't rude at all, even when having to ask for help from someone.
The third time we were seated and waited 10 min with no service. We waved over someone and they told us they would go figure out who was our server. Another 10 minutes went by. We left after other tables who seated after us kept getting helped.
Every time we have done delivery we regret it. IHOP is usually one of the only late night food options for delivery. When I don't feel good, I want crepes. The four chances I have given them (which is four too many, but not feeling good really makes me want crepes) we never received our food. Delivery drivers would get tired of waiting for it and cancel pushing it to another driver. When delivery time says arrive at 10:45pm and food keeps saying delayed... We end up cancelling once it gets almost 1am as a lost cause. (When ordering, it states that it should only take 25 min to be ready and at my door) So sadly all 4 times we have tried, it seems like they just don't care about the delivery orders. If that is the case, turn it off. Stop accepting orders.
I should have quit...
Read moreWe went at holiday time around 11 am We knew it was going to be crowded, and it was! We really enjoy this IHOP in the mid afternoon on a weekday......so we knew this was a huge departure from the time of day we like the best. In the weekday afternoons, it is really mellow and you can really chat with the employees! This particular day it was a bit nuts.....people were everywhere!. Our table had "maybe" been wiped down a little, but there were sticky places on the table that were clear to see, and those were there throughiut our time sitting there. There was a medium sized container that said TEA on it that had streaked areas from having been used, and brown stains were very present on the outside of the contaiber. I was able to even wipe a small area off of that container, so i knew it was dirty.. It was on the end of our table, but it was never removed the whole time we were there. The regular MAPLE syrup had not been refilled and was almost out, so we put it on the end of the table so the waitress would see it and get us a new full one. They did that after we pointed it out to them. The food was good. Our waitress was super busy and maybe checked on us once. I had the credit card ready to check out with, and she took that along with a $5 and $1 bill I had next to my plate. I had not said one word about this being her tip, but boy did she slide her hand to take that cash, just totally assuming it was her tip, I guess. It was, but it is nice when I get to hand my own money to them, etc. I thought this was rather rude, and I have never had a waitress do this in all of my life. It was her assumption, and she ran with it. I probably won't ever do a busy holiday season there again. Next time I do hope I have a super clean table. Maybe I should have asked for a warm rag to clean up the sticky syrup residues...
