Me and my fiancé went here for dinner and from the time we sat down to the time our miso soup appetizer came out, we had waited a full hour. The place was mostly empty except for Uber Eats drivers picking up to-go orders. The tuna sashimi we ordered had an off taste to it and the salmon sashimi was completely inedible because it was still partially frozen. The portion was also meager and us leaving most of it on the plate did not alert anyone that something was wrong. When I brought my concerns about the salmon to the attention of the waiter and sushi chef, I overheard the chef tell him that we “didn’t know what we were talking about”. The waiter then came to the table and told us that the fish had just been defrosting and that we can keep the plate and wait for it to thaw out. As if it were not a big deal. When I said we were done with it, he asked if we wanted a rebate. The way he said it was very dismissive but I said no anyways and just paid for both sashimis and tipped 20%. I am never going to this place ever again and I suggest you...
Read moreIf I could give zero, I seriously would. THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. I am from LA and been to Asia couple times. I know in Texas, there aren't many good sushi restaurants. However, over all, this place is ridiculous. Charing 7 or 8 bucks for instant shin ramen that you can buy for .99 at Walmart? Rolls taste okay however crabmeat tastes like crap. Servers were really nice and friendly though. I'd leave and not pay for what I ordered if my server wasn't doing her job lol food is real bad. I couldn't even finish, not even half. I barely ate. Udon, ramen, and most of kitchen menu isn't satisfying but extremely over priced. Sashimi and sushi aren't even fresh except salmon. Salmon was okay, rice was really bad - it was AWFUL!!!! The only good thing is I think the sauce, especially the orange one and eel sauce. They cover fishy smell and old...
Read moreThe service here was absolutely top notch and the decorations are really nice. The food, however, leaves a lot to be desired. The portions are small for the price, and there was something strange about the rice. It was mushy, like it had been overcooked. The fish was decent quality, but it wasn't GOOD quality. It was better in the sushi than in the rolls or handrolls (which there was lettuce in, for some reason. I've never seen that before...), but the fish in the rolls felt slimy, like it might have been starting to turn. The options are also incredibly limited. It's great if you like tuna, salmon, avocado, and crab, but if you expect many more options, look elsewhere. The only thing I had no complaints about, quality-wise, was the ice cream. Overall, not a the worst restaurant, but I'm not going to come here again until...
