The very first problem here - and this should stand out- is that just one particular manager/owner is willing to sling, even the slightest criticism of their establishment, back onto the customer. Customers should be able to have complaints and be able to voice opinions, without "management" or owners saying the equivalent of, "I know you are, but what am I?"
If you've ever had this have this kind of experience, what do you do? Of course, this particular type of problem is rare.....
Worse yet, I didn't expect this to turn into a stalking case..where he is trying to follow me/read everything I've ever said, and somehow apply it to the issue at hand rather than correct problems...that would be extremely immature....
Notice that, no matter what criticism anyone has ever had of this place, some person, I assume the owner, comes out and puts all of the problems back on the chest of the customer.....
What if a manger at Arby's or Dominos called you a "troll" when you had a problem? What if they stalked you?
I've only experienced this particular kind of mistreatment a few times in my entire life...yet I've see it occurring here on several occasions ... What kind of head does this guy have?
My original review was basically : Erica did an excellent job. She's particularly attentive ... She made our pizza perfectly, and did everything like we requested. She's awesome!
After reading all the attacks by the owner, and making it clear that the low marks were for him, high marks were for Erica, he gave me an even better example of why this place has a problem. He confirmed how ridiculous, immature and unprofessional the steward of this establishment is.
Then you also immediately write your own review........
I just want to make sure that Erica gets noted for her excellent service. But she can only do so much to make up for the poor ownership/management.
....If only I had a "real" issue, how would it be taken care of ? If this is how the owner resolves things, how will this ever...
Read moreIn response to owner Two words: Ad Hominem. Not a bot, real opinion. The actual fake reviews are the 5 star reviews that are all friends of Tavern's staff. Bad staffing is not on the customers. He didn't treat me with respect. Nothing bad was said against the bar, (except for their ONE bad staffing choice) just the single bartender alone. All other bartenders are awesome. Tavern would flourish without Chase.
When I went to Fry Street Tavern recently, I had an awful time because of a bartender named Chase. As soon as I walked up to the bar, he gave me a rude look and sighed loudly. It was obvious right away that he didn't want to serve me or anyone else. Even though the bar wasn't busy, I had to wait an unreasonably long time before he acknowledged me. He seemed more interested in chatting with his coworkers than paying attention to customers.
When I asked for a drink recommendation, Chase just shrugged and seemed clueless about the drinks they had. He was SO rude, and had a horrible attitude. It was clear he didn't want to help and made me feel like I was bothering him instead of being a valued customer.
Overall, my visit to Fry Street Tavern was ruined by Chase's poor service. His unprofessional and disrespectful behavior was unacceptable. I strongly suggest that management take action to address these issues and improve their customer service or reconsider their staffing choices. This kind of incompetence reflects badly on the entire establishment, and it has definitely made me decide...
Read moreCaleb, one of the bouncers here, was on a complete power trip the other night. Not sure if he's employed by this establishment or if he's just there for the frat events.
I paid the $5 cover for men and received a wristband. My group and I left the bar around 30 minutes in to check out Public House. When we came back to Tavern, Caleb tried making me pay again despite the fact I already had a wristband. Not sure if this is standard policy, but if it is, it wasn't communicated very well. Anyways, after he tried getting me to pay, I muttered some profanities under my breath which I admit I was at fault for. He demanded an apology and I said that I was sorry.
After I apologized, Caleb said "good boy", which I felt was extremely demeaning and rude. I assumed everything was okay, but when I tried walking inside, he grabbed me by the collar and violently threw me out. This is completely unprofessional behavior from a bouncer. He also tried making my friend re-pay the cover fee but luckily his more sensible co-worker let them in.
Please vet your bouncers better and stop letting little boys with big egos play make-believe cop with your patrons.
Pretty good drinks and...
