Crooked Crust may seem like another hole-in-the-wall pizza joint out to make a buck or two, but that is far from the truth.
Crooked Crust offers its customers delicious, freshly made-to-order pizza and hoagie sandwiches at affordable prices for anyone. Their combos not only help the customers save money, but it is also made once the order has been placed; the staff are friendly, welcoming, and love to hold a conversation with their customers. There is never truly a dull moment within this neighbourhood pizzeria, and they love to have regulars come again and again.
I have been here several times, and cannot get enough of just how delicious the pizza truly is; it's not the heavy kind that leaves you feeling bloated and queasy, but it's not the light kind that leaves you hungry either. It's the pinnacle of the ideal meal to get you through the day until your next meal, and the pricing is downright fantastic! No need to worry about adding tax-- it's already done for you!
I have never had any problems visiting Crooked Crust, and it is the only non-chain pizzeria I will eat at in Denton. I always enjoy the laid-back, chillax atmosphere inside the restaurant and don't see myself eating pizza anywhere else in Denton.
Their motto, "Pizza just this side of normal!", is genuinely true-- This pizza is just this side of normal! Its phenomenal flavour can be tailored to the customer's liking with hundreds of different topping and sauce combinations, and no pizza is too weird to be born and enjoyed here!
Crooked Crust is the place to be with "pizza just this side of normal", and I kind of like being on "this side of normal".
It's the best "side of normal"...
Read moreUPDATED REVIEW: don’t order from here. Ever. The staff is extremely rude. I had an issue with an order when they ran out of cheese and the staff on the phone told me they were sorry but they would not be able to help. I ordered through uber and uber told me Crooked had to cancel it in order to not be charged a $15 late cancel fee on my end (even though Crooked is who told me they could not provide the pizza). I communicated to Crooked what uber said and the staff member on the phone told me that I needed to just pay the fee. I asked if they could give me a different pizza or a gift card or something to make up for the fact I was not receiving anything even though I paid and the staff member once again told me that I would just need to cancel on uber and pay the fee myself. I asked to speak with a manager, she told me to hold on and forgot to put me on hold while I heard her tell a coworker about me and then came back to say no one was available to speak with me even though I heard them debating this the whole time. The pizza is good, but the customer service makes it not worth it. Better off ordering from somewhere else where at least the people will be kind. I have been eating here for years and the customer service has never been great, but over the last few months it’s become unbearable.
Best pizza in Denton hands down. Love this...
Read moreAmazing pizza. Been there over 100 times over 8 years and loved every visit.
Edit July 2022: a far cry of what it used to be. I’ve gone there probably 150 times now. I gave them 5 stars in 2019. How far has this place fallen. You can no longer eat inside. Going here for a decade before I loved sitting down people watching outside and eating. Having a good time with friends inside while having good pizza. Now a days no tables at all. Instead you see a bunch of tables crudely shoved against the wall with warning signs saying don’t touch the tables or your order will be canceled. This was understandable during Covid but inexcusable now and extremely rude. Quarter pizza is $10. Again for over ten years this was not only way cheaper but you also got 1-2 drink cups per order. Now you have to ask for even 1 cup. It’s simply not worth the price. No longer customer first. The pizza is still good but the management and atmosphere is really destroying a Denton classic. I can’t recommend crooked crust any longer. It’s unfortunate because I used to go there at least twice a month for ten years. No longer being able to even eat inside and see rude warnings about it is 100% unacceptable. I’ll be going elsewhere for pizza...
