I’m writing this message as a frequent and loyal customer of your restaurant. I often choose your establishment not only for myself but also to order meals for my employees, as the quality of the food has consistently been very good. However, I feel the need to express my concern regarding an issue that has now occurred more than once, and it’s beginning to affect my experience as a customer.

This is the second time I’ve come during lunchtime—what should be your busiest and most well-prepared time of day—only to find that rice, a basic staple of most meals, is unavailable. It’s disappointing and frustrating, especially when I’ve made the effort to visit based on the expectation that a full menu will be available. For a place that prides itself on quality and service, this is an issue that should not be recurring.

What adds to my disappointment is the fact that I genuinely enjoy your food, and I’ve supported this business consistently. That’s why I’m bringing this up—not to complain for the sake of it, but in the hope that improvements will be made. I want to keep coming back, and I want to keep recommending your food to others.

On a more positive note, I want to highlight the employee named Gabriel. If I’m not mistaken, that’s his name. He’s always professional, respectful, and willing to help customers even when issues arise. It’s clear he takes pride in his work and represents your business with integrity. Employees like him are rare, and I believe he deserves recognition.

I truly hope management can address this issue with more consistent planning and communication in the kitchen. Running out of a key item during peak hours sends the wrong message, especially to regular customers. I’d love to see the level of service match the quality of the food you serve.

Thank you for your attention to...

We’ve been an avid supporter of the Taqueria for over 10yrs. The staff is always very nice and the food is always exceptional. My issue with the establishment is ownership. It has come to my awareness that ownership has always kept their tips that we put on our credit cards. That’s frustrating to me (and it should be to the community) because we all know that times are difficult and every penny we tip should be hitting the pockets of those in the front of house and back of house staff, the people on the front lines. Not the ownership. It is NOT okay to take the tips and rather give them a daily allowance for food. What if I don’t want to eat the food and I need the money??? Well you still don’t get the food nor the tip money. I hope this isn’t a case of ownership taking advantage of their staff due to their immigration statuses, to me that’s what it sounds like. I encourage the community to inquire about this matter when they decide to support this establishment. I will file a report with the Texas Labor Commission so they can investigate the matter further. Again, the staff service and food quality is exceptional. Authentic Mexican food at its finest! Ownership standards, not so much. I will follow up on this matter every time I visit, which we are a frequent visitor of. In the mean time, tip in cash.

EDIT: I LOVE this place, I keep coming back over and over again, all their food is AMAZING! great flavors and amazing staff, keep it up you guys <3 I’ve seen someone else review on the medium-waiting time but just wanted to say this is not a fast food restaurant. The food is completely fresh made so if keep that in mind :) you get what you pay and wait for and good quality takes time. Old review: I ordered on the phone and all directions were followed correctly. Went to pick it up, great efficient and friendly staff. It’s a pretty location. I ordered cactus gorditas. (I love the meatless options!) The food was so tasty, everyone in Denton should try this place at least once in their lifetime. The gorditas were so soaked in the sauce from the cactus stew, it was the only thing I could taste. I wish I would have been able to eat the Gordita with my hands as it’s supposed to or taste the beans and lettuce in it. I will definitely give this place a second try, hopefully our food won’t be soaked then ;) I would recommend coming to this place as they have great prices and a good selection of Mexican antojitos :)

Let me say not all Mexican/Latin food is the same and depending on the region the food is coming from, you'll get different variations of the same food and y'all should know my preferences are biased towards the El Paso-chihuahua flavors. Now, my family and i had the sopes de pollo and asada, tacos de lengua, quesadillas, and a torta. The meats were well cooked, tender, and flavorful. The consensus was that the beans were really good, but the rice was a little different but still ok. The maiz from the sope was rock hard on the edges, so that was a bit unfortunate. The customer service was rough around the edges, pushy, rushed, and came off a bit snarky. All of this may sound terrible, but depending on your own personality, it can come off comical at the end and wouldn't deter us from coming back again lol

Google brought me to this gem of a place searching for Mexican Food right off of IH35. Fantastic food. Nice atmosphere. If you like Monterrey style mexican food, this is the place. Everything screamed Monterrey! I used to go to Monterrey a lot as a child and the selection of food and candies brought back a lot of memories. They even had "Bubu lubu" and "Boing"! If you've never had either of those, you haven't lived. Lol. I had pozole... and it was awesome. My buddy had menudo and, him being from Monterrey, said it was awesome. Even noticed it didn't have hominy, "like the way it's made back home." I don't usually make reviews this long, but this place is very deserving of it.
