So i come here all the time for samwiches and boba. I was walking past omw down federal and was like hmmm, its hot im gonna grab a boba. Well i only had 3 bucks cash and they have a minimum $10 for card. So i ask hey can i get a small and just give you 3? No. Ok fair, then can i pay more for the boba than what it costs to cover their card fee? No. You have to buy a samwich too, well i just ate lunch and im going somewhere so im not going to pay for a samwich that i dont want just to get a boba. I offered to pay more for it than what it cost and they were more fixated on the 10 bucks than just selling one of their good customers a frickin small smoothie. I get there is a policy written on a little piece of paper but i come in and drop 20-30 bucks on samwiches for my mechanics and me all the time, i live in the neighborhood hence the walking by, i could just walk to an atm somewhere and come back but i had budgeted my time to not include walking around to find an atm. What im getting at is that they couldnt just have me pay a little extra to use my card, instead they wanted to rub it in that i was A DOLLAR short and gave me attitude when i tried to work something out, in there haggling for a single cup of blueberry flavored ice. So i went to tony pho next door, which i also go to allll the time and they know me by name. He came into my shop a few weeks ago for an alignment and i didnt charge him. I tell tony what happened and he says give me the 3 bucks, take the smoothie, see you next time buddy have a good one. Will not be going to ba le anymore, theres 100 other places to get vietnamese samwiches. Im sure my business wont be missed but just wanted to maybe show people that these ladies dont want to have a community of customers, they would rather shove it into a good customers face that theyre a dollar short and just keep pointing at the sign instead of working something out. At my shop we do this all the time and guess what, people remember when you cut them a tiny break even if it doesnt effect you really at all and i see them come back again. If you are about community and vendor/customer relationships then dont go here, they are just there to sell mediocre samwiches and dont care if you ever come back. They were always rude when i go in but i never cared, honestly ill just go somewhere else, nothing they have there is special in...
Read moreThe bahn mi is good. However, THEY WILL OVERCHARGE YOU!!
Their prices are on the board. My total should have been $13.42 after tax. She said "15.50" at which I said that was too much. She then said it was a bag fee. "A bag is ten cents why is it $15.50?" I said. She then said "Oh okay, $14.50." At this point she is still trying to overcharge and she offers to print out the receipt, which I gladly accepted. It totaled out to $13.42. So she not only tried to overcharge me, she then doubled down and attempted to gaslight me, claiming that it was $13.42 all along and $14.50 was the price for the guy before me. To which he agreed.. Small issue though, he ordered a #4 and a boba which also should have been $13.42. So you overcharged him too!!
While I have really enjoyed their sandwiches in the past this shady behavior has lost my business forever. The fact that she overcharged both of us suggests they've been doing this for a while and expect folks to be ignorant. BUYER BEWARE!!!
$7 sandwich. $5.75 boba tea. 8%tax
$13.42 TOTAL. Not 15.50. not 14.50.
They think we can't do basic arithmetic. Keep an eye on how much she tries to charge you before she takes your payment. Especially if you...
Read moreAfter my favorite Vietnamese bakery closed, this was my second choice as it's close to my home and I have been here several times to order their banh mi sandwiches. However, on July 18th during lunch, I had an experience that resulted in me deciding that I would never visit this place again. I ordered the number 11 vegetarian Pate and a green tea boba. What I received was a milk tea boba, which I would never have ordered because I'm vegan and don't eat dairy products. When I approached the counter the man and woman were so rude to me that my boyfriend just said 'I'll go ahead and drink it' and we left. Horrible customer service. Even if there was a language barrier, I'm a white woman, mistakes happen and they should have been happy to fix it. Instead was treated like I was the one that made the mistake. And I guess I did... I chose the wrong Vietnamese bakery and I won't make that mistake again. In addition, the vegetarian Pate had probably a teaspoon of Pate. It was basically a jalapeno and cilantro sandwich. I would strongly encourage anyone looking for banh mi, or good service, to go...
