Poor service. I normally love 5 guys. The staff was goofing off, pushing each other, and I got to hear about their relationships 40 ft away, so not exactly quiet conversations. They obviously are working for a paycheck and have no care in the world for quality of product. I get it, it's a minimum wage job and you clearly hate corporate, but I was hoping for a warm burger. Order of a cheeseburger took 40 minutes. They announced my order number but since I had ordered online and they didn't give me a receipt or any indication of an order number to wait for, I was waiting for my name to be called. So they called out an order number which I had never been given. When, after waiting for an absurd period of time, I asked them about my order I found out it had been completed earlier, but since I hadn't responded to the order # I never had they put it on a shelf. The employee then gave me a very cold hamburger and soggy fries. It would have been better if they realized their mistake and replaced the products. I'm not sure the food they provided was within health standards for how long it had sat on a cold shelf. Overall poor experience. I would recommend the McDonalds or any other burger place in the area over this specific 5 guys.
Update: After posting details on their website including exact location, date, time, and complaint I have received no further communication on this. Clearly this sort of service is acceptable to 5 guys, and that is unfortunate. I would have been pleased to know they heard my complaint and were working to...
Read moreWe decided to give this location a try and were very disappointed with the customer service. We stopped in at about 2:30pm Oct. 29th 2024. The gentleman taking our orders at the counter was the main issue. He was unwelcoming, despondent, and seemed like he was annoyed to take our order. Also, he forgot to give me my drink, which shouldn't have been too hard to remember, so I had to ask another employee. We saw some peanuts that looked like they were free, so my mom decided to go and ask if this was the case. The same guy responded back to my mother in a very rude and unprofessionally manner, which caught my attention. After this incident, I requested his name and to speak to the manager or at least to get the managers contact info. He responded by refusing to give me his name and by saying that there was no manager. And if I wanted to make a complaint to do so on the website. He treated us poorly and was disrespectful to my mother, which is unacceptable by any customer service standards. I was very disappointed because I expected better from Five Guys. When you go into an establishment and spend 50$, you should at least receive decent customer service with a positive attitude and a friendly staff. We...
Read moreFive Guys came along just when it was needed. Everyone was tired of McDonald’s, and Burger King, and their kind. Worse than tired - people were annoyed, irritated, disgusted even! But there were no other options. No new burger joints that offered better alternatives.
Then our heroes arrived. Five of them, of course! The first Five Guys opened on South Parker Road. It was a bit too far for me, although I made it there once in a while. Now there’s this one - on South Colorado Boulevard. So convenient!
Before they ever opened in Colorado, good stories about Five Guys were spread by word-of-mouth and online posts. I’m happy to tell you that the rumors were true! That feeling you first had from McDonald’s or Wendy’s a long time ago, but thought had perhaps vanished forever? It’s alive and well at Five Guys. The burgers and fries taste really good - the same way I suppose a Big Mac or a Whopper first tasted to previous burger-buying generations.
The Five Guys philosophy has been justly lauded (again, by word-of-mouth and online posts). I can tell you that, in my view, their approach works well. My only advice is to order less than you might think. Even a small order of fries is a lot...
