Someone on here said you can get a quarter pounder with fries and a drink for $10 just two months ago (?) negative! All regular size burgers and sandwiches are $8.49, the juniors are $6.49 and anything bigger than regular size is over $10 bucks for just the sandwich. The fries are $3.99 and a small drink is $3 bucks. Don't believe me? check out their website, prices are all listed there.
Now as far as my experience goes, I have an office up the road and came here once for a breakfast burrito (there isn't any other good burrito places nearby that I'm aware of) so about a month ago I decided to give this burger joint a try. Yes, the burritos are huge! and all the photos posted on here make them look delicious but I must admit I was disappointed in the taste. I guess my expectations of a good breakfast burrito are too high anywhere I go. This was not, by all means, a real authentic tasting breakfast burrito, even with the green chili inside. Now, I understand this is not a authentic Mexican food place, but McDonald's across the street isn't either and in my opinion, their breakfast burritos are much tastier; small, but tastier. Strike 1.
Today I went by again, looking to fulfill my cravings for that breakfast burrito again. I quickly then remember my previous experience but since I was already there I decided to try something else instead so I ordered a patty melt with the grilled onions a side of steak fries and a small soft drink $16+ was my order. I had asked the guy if the sandwich did not come with pickled jalapeños to get me a side order of those. Mind you, he reread the order back to me and second guessed my decision of a patty melt with grilled onions and jalapeños, for which I quickly confirmed to him yes, that's right! (me still trying to fulfill that spicy food craving). When I get to the office I have everything but my jalapeños. Now, I don't know about anybody else but for me, if I have something set in my mind of what I'm about to eat and then it doesn't happen that way, it just ruins my complete meal. I quickly did the math and do not believe they charged me for them so I didn't bother calling them back. Now I do not know if they even have jalapeños to order but I do remember back in the day growing up, we used to drive across town to come here and I would order a jalapeño burger every time. Assuming they do not have them anymore, why in the world would they agree to add them on and not? This place has been around for many years and coming to think about it, it may have ONLY been popular back then because of its cheap burgers. But even that is for sure not the case anymore. Strike 2
When rating any restaurant for me the things I consider to be the most important are 1.Taste 2.Value and 3. Service and so far this place hasn't impressed me on either area. By the way, for the owner and/or employee here, never question a patron's choice of how they like their sandwich (and I'm not talking about questioning to confirm their order either).
Now will I go back for a 3rd and final strike? meh,...
Read moreI honestly don’t know how they have so many reviews and why they are so positive. I don’t typically leave reviews, but my colleagues and I went here for lunch the other day and the food and service was so abhorrent, I felt it necessary to let people know what we’ve been talking about now for several days after our experience.
The food was grossly overpriced for the quality. Out of the three of us nobody finished their meal. Each one of us had burgers that had a texture unlike anything we had ever tasted in a burger before. I would say I’ve almost never had a worse hamburger. McDonald’s, Burger King, in and out—you name it—any fast food restaurant that has a burger for a dollar or more is a restaurant that has a higher quality beef patty than the ones they’re serving at this establishment. We question whether or not they’re real beef, or not heavily processed or cut with something—something has to be giving the beef its extremely odd texture; it was like biting into something with a soggy shell—not crunchy, but not soft either. Like biting through the shell that would form over pudding after leaving it out for a couple of days. It is very difficult to describe—not something I would consider to be a good characteristic of edible food.
French fries came out hot, but unsalted. No ketchup packets are ration by management and you’re given a glaring look if you ask for more the inside of the restaurant is, various stock items, including cups plates, canned food, etc. It looks like they’re stocking up for the next year with how much they are putting in the seated area of the restaurant itself.
Onion rings were tolerable. The milkshake was OK. We just can’t get over how terrible the burgers were. There is absolutely no rhyme or reason how this restaurant has over 3000 positive reviews with the quality of food that they’re serving—it was horrendous. We were absolutely flabbergasted.
I wish I could say I was exaggerating, that I am somebody that you shouldn’t pay attention to, that I’m just a troll, but I wouldn’t go there and I would actively recommend against people going there, hence leaving...
Read moreI was running errands in a new part of town thinking I was going to Arby’s because my side of town doesn’t have one. I then passed this restaurant that said either a gyro or 1/4 burger with fries and a drink for $8.99 which we all know is easy to spend even at fast food. I was able to pull over and found that they were a mom and pop shop for the last 28 years. I thought I would give a try. It was pretty busy. I went through drive through and asked for the special. What I didn’t realize is the special is only after 3pm. Definitely worth the deal if you can wait until 3pm but the order taker was kind enough to give me the special since I didn’t know as a one time only. He made my day. I’ve been suffering with an injured knee and making these errands was causing me anxiety and discomfort and this was my first time here. The drive through was pretty quick. I paid 50 cents extra for feta cheese on gyro. They use styrofoam cups which keeps drinks cold on warm days. The gyro and fries were delicious. The customer service was outstanding and the food was good. The food was also very filling. It looked like a small basket of fries but they use big thick steak fries so the meal will fill you up. I’m also sensitive to sodium and the fries were perfect (not salty). Other than these 3pm specials, there are no combo meals so everything is priced individually. It can be a little spendy which are the times right now. But I would rather give my money to them than a corporation. They made sure I had napkins and ketchup. The napkins were a nice size dinner napkin and the off brand ketchup tasted as good as Heinz. No...
