It was getting late on a weeknight and I was dying for a good pizza, but my first choice was inexplicably closed. I sat in a pitch black parking lot, trying to find an alternative before closing time. I had just talked about Brooklyn's Finest with a friend, so I decided to give it a try. Their Web site said they could produce my pie just before closing time, so I placed my order and headed south on Broadway.
Even in the evening, trying to find parking was difficult. I went around the block twice before finding a spot on Lincoln. Another customer parked right behind me and we headed west on Cedar Avenue to retrieve our pies.
Brooklyn's is right on the northeast corner of Cedar and Broadway. The patio and side of the business face Broadway with the entrance on Cedar. The space is warm and welcoming with an expansive bar and two sections of seating with overhead doors, one opening to the patio.
The staff was friendly and efficient and quickly brought out my order. It smelled great, so I hurried home. The smell was not deceiving, the pie looked great and was perfectly cooked. I ordered a small New York, New York: red sauce with pepperoni, sausage, bell peppers, red onion, mushrooms, black olives, and mozzarella.
The ingredients all tasted very fresh and generously covered the pizza. I have had some real pizza disasters lately, so I was thrilled to get a pie that was perfectly cooked to a golden brown. The crust had a great chew and held up well to the ingredients. The sauce had a nice, spicy bite. Everything went really well together. I just had the leftovers for lunch and they tasted even better.
I'm not a native New Yorker or even a frequent visitor to Brooklyn, so I can't speak to authenticity, but this was a delicious, well-made pizza and I enjoyed it a lot. It really hit the spot. This place should definitely be on your...
Read moreI hate to give this rating but we went for opening weekend and it was disappointing to say the least. When we sat down a waitress came over with water and said “I’ll check back with you soon” not even asking us if we wanted a drink, which we did. 10 minutes later while staring at her several times to get her attention she came back over. We ordered drinks and she almost walked away before we stopped her and said wait we want to order. 🤦🏾♀️ Our drinks took forever and she was just strolling around doing nothing. We finally asked another waiter and turns out she is under age so she couldn’t bring us drinks. WHY was she even on the floor? She should have been a host or buser. There was also confusion with a salad I wanted so I got the wrong one. The pizza, which is my husbands favorite it town tasted like a totally different pizza then the one we get at the other location. We want this place to succeed so we will go back and try again and hopefully upgrade our rating. Bonus they are a dog...
Read morerecently dined at Brooklyn finest pizza, and I have to say, this place serves some of the best pizza I’ve ever had. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The decor is modern.
Now, let’s talk about the pizza. I ordered the Margherita, and it was simply divine. The crust was perfectly thin and crispy, with just the right amount of chew. The sauce was rich and tangy, clearly made from fresh, high-quality tomatoes. What really stood out was the mozzarella—it was incredibly fresh and melted just right, giving each bite a creamy, satisfying texture.
The service was top-notch as well. Our server was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations without being overbearing. The pizza arrived quickly, hot, and...
