This was mine and my friends first time at Cheba Hut and we were super pumped. I was with a group of 5 others. We were waiting inside and looking at the menu, when the cashier kindly asked us to step outside and wait due to social distancing (understandable). After the people in front of us were done ordering, we went back inside again and the first person in our group began to order. Then, a shorter woman with dark hair came around the counter and told us we need to go back outside and wait if we aren't ordering with him. It was hot really out and we had just came back in from waiting for about 5 minutes outside, so some of us let out a sigh as we walked back out to wait. Our friend inside that was ordering told us that after we left, the woman that told us to step out said something along the lines of "if they're going to be that way then they shouldnt eat here." He was super bummed about that. Then as the rest of us were waiting outside for the second time, some dude just thought we were chilling outside and walked into the restaurant, cutting us in line and ordered before us, even though we had been waiting almost 10 minutes at that point. After we got in and ordered food, our friend told us what the woman had said about us, and that just killed the whole vibe of our morning, we were visiting from Chicago and exploring downtown Denver that day. The food was really good, and the rest of the staff was kind to us, but that girl was very sour and kind of ruined it for all of us. Also, while eating inside, we didnt see her ask any other groups that we're ordering to separate, so that was irritating. We're all in our early 20's and have worked in restaurants/customer service so we are always extra nice staff...
Read moreOn September 6th after work, I decided to come in and try this location. I was getting sandwiches for my brother, my mom, and I. My mom and brother wanted a medium sized G-13 sandwich, my mom didn't want chipotle mayo. My brother wanted french onion soup. I wanted a medium sized Midwest Best. My name got called for the order being ready and pick it up and get in my brother's car, as my brother is driving off I look inside the bag and notice there was no french onion soup so my brother parks in another spot and I go in and tell them. They made a french onion soup which seemed like it wasn't made in enough time and I put it in the bag. Once we are home, I go through all the sandwiches because my mom and I were going to split. All the sandwiches are the same but was not the G-13 or Midwest Best and I am not even sure what it was but there was no roast beef. All of them had chipotle mayo unlike what I ordered. One of the sandwiches was a small not a medium. My brother tried the french onion soup and said the onions were crispy. I took a bite of the french onion soup and not only was it crispy but the broth didn't have flavor like the good french onion soups I have had before. After done eating, I call and ask for a refund. I was asked my name, last 4 digits of the credit card, and how much the total was and was said by the end of the night I would have a refund. I have been looking on my bank statement and I still have not received any refund. I tried calling and it says there is no voicemail available...
Read morePEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES Went in with my girlfriend last night and immediately got greeted by one of the worst attitudes I’ve ever seen an employee have. My girlfriend has a disability and she is hard of hearing so when the employee was asking questions under his breath about our order she repeatedly had to ask him to repeat himself because she couldn’t hear him. It finally go to the point where he started talking to her like she was a mentally challenged child due to the fact that she couldn’t hear him, (these are grown men by the way.) After I asked what his problem was, he rolled his eyes and scoffed at us and proceeded to have a volatile attitude with us. Another male employee who was standing right by him started laughing at us and shaking his head as if we were’t there spending our hard earned money at their establishment. As I’m walking back to my table I’m shaking my head in disbelief of the treatment we’ve been enduring, and finally the same guy looks at me across the restaurant and asks me “do you have a problem?” We then tried calling the store to talk to a manager and got hung up on every single time. This is bar none the most unprofessional and volatile experience I’ve ever had at an establishment at my entire life. If you come here with a disability you WILL be treated less than. I left this review on a different store initially and I do apologize. Have gone to Cheba for many years, won’t...
