I never write reviews, especially for a chain spot, but our experience at this In-n-Out is worth writing about. We’ve been to this location twice since it opened - once via drive-thru and once to eat-in. We were curious about how the experience would be, given that it’s a newer location. The staff was remarkably kind, excellent, and anticipated our needs.
We walked in and the staff greeted us, offered our girls stickers and hats, and offered them hot cocoa (apparently there’s a “kids get free hot cocoa when it’s raining” policy). We had a somewhat complicated order that they took in stride and when we ordered a burger for our two girls, the young man (Oscar) taking our order asked if it was to split and offered to cut and wrap them for each girl. The food came out hot, well-made, exactly as ordered, was ready very quickly. When we were midway through the meal, one of our girls ripped her hat, and another staff member noticed and brought her a new one. At the end of the meal, another staff member (Amanda) noticed we were getting ready to leave and came over to clear our table and offered to clean up. The tables, floors, bathrooms were all so clean.
In-n-Out is known for its service, but this one rises up as a stellar exemplar, and the food was unbeatably good. I mean, can you beat a double-double animal-style with chilis, animal-style fried, and a swirled chocolate-vanilla shake? There is simply not a better fast food chain than In-n-Out and this location is...
Read moreWhen Anthony Bourdain was asked what places he loved to go, he'd give a list of Michelin starred restaurants in Rome, Paris, and even Morocco. But in LA, it was In-N-Out. Now that it's here, it hasn't changed. The basic burger, fries, and a shake are the best, and there's usually not much of a line. However, unless you feel like being a basic human, step it up. Order your burger and fries animal style. Get a root beer float. Get a hot chocolate for your kids (that one's free). Go read up about the secret menu items, like how to get salad as a side. Vegan? Order a wish burger (eg, I wish it had meat). You know how McDonald's opens a package to make fries? In-N-Out peels them and they don't spend much time sitting around before they get their pool party. You can have an opinion about them after you try them, and then ask for them to be cooked longer or perhaps less. Taking them home? Go for less and pop them in the air fryer for a minute to crisp up to your liking. But never whine that you had a bad or underwhelming experience. If you feel like you did, you missed the point of the simple menu that lets you make it your own. Trust me on the...
Read moreWhenever I've heard of places like In-N-Out or Five Guys I'd always assumed that it was all empty hype.
Having tried Five Guys and seeing I was right about them due to how ridiculously over-priced they were, I assumed this place would also be overpriced for a mid decent burger. I was less inclined to try it because of the absurdly long lines that were always at the locations, I assumed it was all just because of the hype of trying something new and it didn't reflect the quality. I was wrong.
Not only was the burger itself delicious, it's CHEAPER to get In-N-Out meals, even the priciest, than other burger joints cheapest meals often by several dollars (and in the case of Five Guys I can get two double double meals for CHEAPER than one Five Guys meal). The fries are often pretty good and the burgers are addicting. It's my go-to burger joint now if I can help it.
And bonus for us Christians it's a Christian owned joint, at least I'd assume so considering their fry trays list verses on the bottom of them. Just like Chic-fil-a their faith undoubtedly is what leads them to try to make the best they can for...
