What a difference a year makes. Sorry to say I'll never be eating here again. I saw them accuse a woman with two children of not paying her bill, and it was announced to the entire restaurant when really the employees/owners didn't communicate with each other. The employee chased after this woman to her car. The woman tells him she paid the older woman with cash. That is announced, and everyone in the restaurant laughs except me. The older woman acknowledges that the woman did pay with cash and that the employee didn't ask her. What I didn't see is him going back outside to apologize. I said, "Do you know what you have done? Now she has to explain that to her and her child's friend." That's embarrassing. This is not a place I intend to give my hard earned money ever again. The noodles were dry, and I ordered extra sauce. He probably apologized outside, but did the entire restaurant need to hear this absolutely not. It was unnecessary. 2022: I've been eating here since 1999. So good. This time was different because the noodles were dry, but I usually get extra teriyaki sauce, so that was me. I had Philadelphia roll and beef sobegetti. Until next time. I'll try and add pictures the next time I go. The lemonade was so good, too.

In culinary experiences, few establishments can enrapture one's senses and transport them to pure gastronomic bliss. Kokoro, a hidden gem among culinary treasures, is undoubtedly a beacon of excellence. My encounter with this unparalleled dining haven has been nothing short of a revelation, leaving an indelible impression on my palate and soul. From the moment I stepped through the delicately adorned entrance, I was embraced by an atmosphere steeped in refinement and grace. The ethereal ambiance transcended mere decoration, gracefully harmonizing with the impeccable service that ensued. The staff and orchestrators of this culinary symphony displayed a profound level of attentiveness and professionalism. Their seamless coordination, akin to a well-rehearsed ballet, created an atmosphere of comfort and ease, allowing patrons to embark on a culinary delight journey without hesitation or concern. Undoubtedly, the cornerstone of any outstanding dining experience is the cuisine itself. And in this aspect, Kokoro unassumingly excels, leaving me humbled by its culinary artistry. Their exquisite eel preparation is a standout jewel among their offerings, a culinary marvel that dances gracefully between tradition and innovation. The tender and succulent eel was elevated to unparalleled heights through masterful preparation and a harmonious blend of flavors. Each morsel seemed to narrate a story, evoking emotions I never knew I possessed. The symphony of flavors graced my palate was only matched by the visual poetry adorned each plate. The presentation, meticulously crafted with an artist's touch, rendered each dish a masterpiece in its own right. The eel, glistening like a precious gem, was artfully adorned with delicate garnishes that spoke of a deep reverence for nature's bounty. Beyond the impeccable eel, Kokoro's culinary prowess extends to an extensive array of delicacies that beckon even the most discerning connoisseurs. From the intricately prepared sushi to the harmonious flavors of their signature sashimi, each offering bore the hallmarks of a kitchen that pulsates with passion and artistry. In the symphony of life, Kokoro orchestrates an unparalleled movement where customer service and cuisine intertwine, forming a grand opus that resonates with the soul. My sojourn at this extraordinary establishment transcended the mere act of dining, becoming an enriching experience that will forever linger in my heart and memory. Kokoro is a jewel in the crown of culinary delights, a place where dreams of epicurean indulgence come true, and I, without reservation, recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone seeking a transformative journey into the world of...

I was very excited to try Kokoro because of all the great Google reviews I had seen. However my experience was quite different than what the reviews described. The first thing that stood out to me was the fact that certain tables are marked as 3 or more people only, including ALL the booths. They hold this stand even when there are not many people and alot of open booths. So, with this in mind you are relegated to either the tiny tables, which are side by side by side, so hopefully you don't mind rubbing elbows with your equally upset neighbors because they were also told they couldn't have a booth. Or you can sit at the group bar table areas, where at least you have a little space, so we chose that. But, I was still open to this being a good experience, I mean seating isn't everything right? Then came the ordering. At the group bar areas there is only one server, who may have like 10-20 people, so be ready, you may not get served for 15-35 minutes. And this isn't the nice sit down folks where you would expect that wait time. When you finally do get water, the server has a tendency to pass over you again and again and again, and finally you have to do the hand wave dance to get their attention for ordering food. So ok you finally get food. Please let the food be good right? I mean there is still opportunity here. Nope. I had one of the udon bowls and my significant other had a rice bowl. It was very mediocre at best, which would have been ok if not for all the previous issues I mentioned. Oh and if you want the check, probably best to go find a server or you may be waiting a long time. I would suggest if this is one of the options your thinking of, please don't make the same mistake we did, and go...

Because we've been such great customers for so long, the owners paid off our mortgage, car loans, student loans and credit cards as well as bought us a free trip to Europe! They also don't want us to pay for meals anymore, so they insisted on free meals for life. And here's something weird- we don't have to tip the wait staff, they actually tip "us" now. So free food and some extra pocket money. Crazy nice people, huh?! Absolutely true.

Who doesn't know about Kokoro?? Most people eat here 50-100 times a year, so we've become friends with most of them. The let us use their cars and vacation homes for free. Kokoro has been in business over 35 years now, and it's absolutely the best tasting, healthiest (& inexpensive) meal in Denver. Here's tip folks- Order the regular beef bowl with forest child soup and pour the soup into the beef bowl for AN AMAZING TASTE YOU'VE NEVER HAD IN YOUR LIFE. We've all had teriyaki and soy sauce and everything else on this menu(!) But do this. It's indescribable. It just tastes GREAT. The food usually comes out in 2 minutes or less. You don't get that anywhere else in the Denver area.

Also, with each kids meal, they pay for a four year college education. If you arrive before they open, they give you a free box of Jimmy Dean's Pancakes wrapped Sausage or Biscuit Roll-Ups. Why you ask? I don't know. It is what...
